This is bull shit. they kill americans and think nothing of it. A soldier shoots one that they say is unarmed and he gets 10 years in jail. Where is the justice?

Thats just BS do you think if Iraq's killed one our civillians there they would do anything to the Iraq's. We need to get out troops out of Iraq or let them do their job and leave them alone. I can see why our country is going down hill because of the dumb asses that turn our men in for something they are supposed to do.

If he hadn't planted evidence the judge would have been a lot more lenient. He screwed himself is what he did. A mistake is a mistake, but he was determined, it seems, to make himself look as guilty as possible.

If the government does not want soldiers to shoot and kill people over in Iraq, then pull them the hell out of there. It is extremely difficult to tell who the enemy and who the friendly harmless civilian is over there. Don't give the soldiers weapons, and expect them to not shoot those whom they deem may be a threat to themselves or other American soldiers. It is a war and unfortunately innocent people are going to die in Iraq. The burden and guilt should be placed on high in the White House at the highest level of office, not on the soldier who has to fear for his or her life each and every day over there.

This is OUTRAGEOUS!

He was given an order to shoot. He shot.

Five hours of sleep in 72 hours?

Ten years imprisonmnt,(along with the other punishments,) because although he acted within the boundaries of engagement, he planted evidence?

The court-martial board should be ashamed of themselves.

It sucks big time! He is an American soldier! Not some terrorist insurgent like the scum he shot.

1. Quit turning this into some political bullshit.

2. You might want to do background research on who convicted him.

I find it sad that a US soldier would get 10 years for one death when U.S. law-makers have committed them to a war that has killed hundreds of innocent people just to make the Vice President and U.S. bankers rich. I would like to see Bush last a week over there kicking in doors and being the first to run in. The whole issue is about U.S. bankers/investers interest in making profits. They are shameful in comparison to the brave soldiers that serve their country.

FIRST OF ALL YOU CAN'T SEND HIM TO JAIL FOR 10 YEARS, BECAUSE DURING WAR HE IS LICENSED TO KILL.HE IS A SNIPER THEY ARE TRAINED TO TAKE OUT WHAT MIGHT DO HARM TO OTHERS.BUT HE OR THEY MADE THE MISTAKE OF PLANTING A GUN ON THE CIVILAN.BECAUSE IT WAS HIS FIRST WAR CRIME THEY SHOULD ONLY GIVE HIM 1-3 YEARS AND MAYBE OUT 18 MONTHS ON GOOD BEHAVIOR.WAR CRIMES ARE STRANGE WHEN IT COMES TO LAW, BUT US LAW HAS SO MANY HOLES IN IT LIKE SWISS CHEESE.I GUESS WHEN WE HAVE WAR IN THE US IF IT GET'S TO THAT POINT IT WILL BE A MESS AT THE END AND WE WILL HAVE TO CLEAN IT UP AND START OVER.

I agree if he planted evidence he should be punished but we are using the soldiers puting thier lives on the line to make a plitical statement. they are overworked, underpaid and under tremendous stress. If he followed orders then whoever gave the order should be repremanded but noprisen time for anyone!

"The whole issue is about U.S. bankers/investers interest in making profits." Could you please be more specific? You sound like one of those people who throws things out without any real knowledge of what your talking about. I assume your comment about the VP was in regard to his affiliation with Halliburton? You are probably under the impression that there was another company capable of carrying out the work Halliburton is doing in Iraq. Well there wasn't. By the way, I guess anyone who owns stock in Halliburton is to blame for the war also?
