You can - just institute a fascist or otherwise authoritarian state and before you know it all sorts of things will be "regulated".
And since you seem to advocate regulation of not only "sexual behavior" - but just "behavior" in general - then you apparently prefer a society that is far less free than we have in the U.S.- China might suit you well.
One reason I enjoyed looking at the Drudge Report was they'd list the latest attempts at banning one thing or another. Coupled with other news articles I had read, it seemed to me 9 out of 10 bans/ban suggestions came from Democrat/Progressive types.
.
I'd say the Democrats are working hard towards being Chinese :)

So.....Gays marrying is going to lead to people becoming homeless drug addicts?

There are several behaviors that are built in and I think from my experience racial hate in some individuals is "built in". Purely an emotional reaction, no logic behind it.
.
It would not surprise me at all at some point in the future the experts will find a hate gene.
You're white, aren't you?

LOL. I find some of these postings just funny. Not because of the actual humor, rather on how stupid they are.

Look, who cares whether someone who is gay marries another individual who is gay? Will that effect your life in any personal way? Probably not.

So what gives any individual the right and power to dictate a lifestyle to any other individual? There is none.

Now, general conversation is showing how people cannot put liberty ahead of their own ideals or manipulated ideals. For the most part, Republican talking points are the ones bitching and complaining. This is unethical, blah blah blah, bullshit. So in other words, Republicans are Clinton supporters?

On the other side of the false argument, you get the Democrats. "HAHAHA, you lost, get over it." if I remember one of the first posts correctly. Well, I guess all you Democrats must hate Clinton then right? Or your just hypocritical.

And the reason why I mention Clinton. He was the guy that signed it into law in the first place in 1996. How many of you actually knew that?

Look, bottom line is this. It is none of your business, either D's, R,s, I's, government, neighbors, etc.. None of you. An individuals sexual choice is just that. A choice you cannot force onto someone.

So basically, Shut the F*ck Up, sit down and focus on yourself, your money, your family, and your own life. Because all of you as individuals have no right to dictate how anyone else lives their individual life.

I do not have a strong opinion on gay marriage one way or another.
.
A society can set behavior based on common values. This is something that has happened since the first group of people formed the first community.
.
When these values get frustrated, problems in social cohesion arise. As a rule, when cohesion starts weakening, so do other aspects of society.
.
An example would be drug policy. Some feel there should be no drug laws what so ever. If a community has to deal with a bunch of zoned out drug addicts laying all over the street, many will feel the quality of life starts going down. In theory, a guy laying on the sidewalk is not harming anyone but himself so there should be no complaint. You do not like what you see, just step around them and move on.
And there was a time when a black man couldn't marry a white woman. That might raise a few eyebrows today, but the fact that it is no longer illegal, provides people with the freedom of choice to marry who they choose.

Drugs is a whole different aspect of society. Any form of intoxicant, when abused, can have a detrimental impact on society. The previous prohibition of alchohol went too far. What we have instead are laws against PUBLIC INTOXICATION. What people choose to ingest, inject or inhale should be their own freedom of choice. They are, however, held accountable for their actions while under the influence.

Most laws would be UNNECESSARY if people would take personal responsibility for the consequences of their actions.

And usually the people who believe in hell are also those who believe in a 'loving god'... and that makes a whole lot of sense <NOT!>

That's merely your uniformed opinion. If you're not gay, what does it matter to you?

Your point was you're not a constitutional expert or even vaguely familiar with it.
I agree with you completely.
Btw, if you're dumb enough to work as a coal miner, then you get what you deserve.
My changes in law are a result of previous rulings due to "liberalization" creep.
.
As for the coal miners, if I may paraphrase a gay chant, why does Barack Obama hate working people so much?

Why didn't he go to the coal fields and call them flat earthers?

Sort of wormy going to his rich supporters in Washington DC calling the miners names from a distance.
.
Well, not sort of wormy, very wormy. He's a wormy sort of character.

Being gay is a behavior and society does regulate behavior :)
How can it be a behavior, when no specific behaviors are required to be gay?

It's a harmless natural trait - how and why would society try to regulate that?

Coal miners already know the harm they cause to themselves, their families, and the environment. They only do it because it's the only job they can get.

Because is trait is a distinguishing feature, not limited to just behaviors.

Being black is a trait, as is being left-handed or being tall etc, etc, etc.
