Racist, rabid-right Republicans

Apr 14, 2014 Full story: Capitol Hill Blue 256

Nothing makes an ultra-conservative more nervous because while they scream and moan that they aren't bigots who hate blacks, other minorities, homosexuals and anyone else who doesn't fit their lilly-white view of the world, they know down deep that racism drives their narrow focus view of the world and guides just about everything they do.

What a friggin nutjob.
I'll bet some of these "illegals" have better grammar AND over all education than you do. Sounds like YOU'RE the one who hates America, so maybe YOU should head north.... or whichever direction gets you out quicker.
Have you heard about the Moral Monday movement in Carolina? Seems the Republican controlled state is having a bit of a problem trying to keep their own citizens from exposing their greed and corruption.

Our opposition now has Citizens United, McCutcheon, and now Schuett (Michigan) in their toolboxes.

You think it's been hard? You ain't seen nothing yet, baby!

Now it starts to get ugly ... I mean really hideous.

2014-16 is for ALL the marbles.

Au contraire, you nocturnal noodnik. Name-calling can be an effective tool for deflating a pompous windbag. It also offers the ancillary benefit of providing an emotional release to the said name-caller. And to this day that man can eat anything.

2013-04-24-AmericanThinker.png American Thinker is a website that I visit from time to time. It is your typical, garden-variety right-wing site, created by and for fact-challenged people who believe that liberalism is the root of all evil, and that Jesus Christ personally hand-delivered the U.S. Constitution to the founding fathers. The one thing that sets American Thinker apart from most of its peer sites is that one of its contributing bloggers, Robert Oscar Lopez, is allegedly gay and claims to have been raised by two lesbians.

However, this is no indication of any level of gay acceptance on the part of the American Thinker readership. In fact, reading some of Mr. Lopez's blog posts reveals why he is allowed to post at all. You see, Robert Oscar Lopez is easily one of the most shamelessly self-loathing anti-gay sycophants on the planet. He despises gay marriage and gets apoplectic at the mere thought of gay couples raising children. Lopez's absurd "exposés" perpetuate the myths that fill the fantasy universe where most evangelical conservatives reside, a universe where all homosexuals are uncoupled, hypersexual and battling monsters like depression, suicide, addiction, eating disorders and sexually transmitted infections, all things that heterosexuals somehow, magically, never experience; a universe where evil "power gays" like Dan Savage and Rachel Maddow are "helicoptered in" to destroy all that is wholesome and pure by insisting that the gay community be treated equally under the law so that we can buy and sell children on the black market.

One of the most hate-filled and lying websites on the internet.

Only fools read this and follow it.

Ah, the main problem began with the Republican controlled House and Senate from 1994 - 2006. The rich bought the government, got laws to give them the most welfare, had laws to allow the Congress to do insider trading, and the depraved corruption and downfall of our nation began.

Coincidentally, this came AFTER the coupling of the Republican party with the Christian Reconstructionists who created a club of born agains that said only those who are born agains aka republicans can sin. All others are bad. Hence, the felons we now have in Congress represented by the teabaggers, beginning with Issa.

When you think of what's at stake, restricted voting "privileges", budget slashes to the poor (and we'll all be poor before they're through), corporations given "person" status, minimum wages that don't cover the minimum....yes, it's for ALL the marbles.

I have a friend I went to HS with, head of the class, he told me with a straight face, "whoever winds up with the most toys, wins." Guess who's side he's on??? Really, it's sad.

On p. 94-95 of Obama's first autobiography, he describes an effective tactic to deal with White people:“It was usually an effective tactic, another one of those tricks I had learned:(White) PEOPLE WERE SATISFIED SO LONG AS YOU WERE COURTEOUS AND SMILED AND MADE NO SUDDEN MOVES. More than satisfied, they were relieved — such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn’t seem angry all the time.”

A 1995 piece in the liberal Chicago Reader: "THAT'S JUST HOW WHITE FOLKS WILL DO YOU," Obama writes. "It wasn't merely the cruelty involved; I was learning that black people could be mean and then some. It was a particular brand of arrogance, an obtuseness in otherwise sane people that brought forth our bitter laughter. It was as if whites didn't know they were being cruel in the first place. Or at least thought you deserving of their scorn."

In April 2008 Obama told a radio host, "The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. BUT SHE IS A TYPICAL WHITE PERSON who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know, you know, there's a reaction that's been bred in our experiences that don't go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way, and that's just the nature of race in our society."

Michelle Obama's senior thesis at Princeton University-Her hypothesis? That the more time black students spend around other blacks,“the more positive and compassionate they will be in their attitudes toward lower class Black Americans”. Or, to rephrase her hypothesis: if highly-educated blacks look down on lower-income black Americans it’s the fault of whites and their white institutions like Princeton.

And do I really need to remind everybody here who said:“FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY ADULT LIFETIME, I’m Really Proud of My Country”

You don't need politicians to solve poverty. Poverty has a simple solution: money. Money can be obtained by working. If you still don't have enough money by working, just work more hours.

Taking money from people that worked to get it, and giving it to people that didn't work to get it solves nothing. In fact, you only made the problem worse because the people that are receiving the money will never work to get money for themselves. Teach a man to fish.......

In the last 50 years since we started this idiocy of the War on Poverty, we've spent over 15 trillion dollars and have very little to show for it. It doesn't work:

You can't give the rich anything, all you can do is take less away from them.

The rich have never had it better than the last five years of the DumBama administration and the middle-class have never had it worse. Time to rethink who your enemies are.

Thanks for your reply.
As you might expect, I am familiar with Obama's observations. I consider them wise and
painfully true. He was describing the experience of a highly intelligent, sensitive black man in America, along with its ironies. It was one hell of a journey, one that made some of us white people a bit wiser for it.
As for Michelle, your "rephrasing" totally distorts her intended meaning. Plus, her comment about her belated pride in her country is, to my way of thinking, totally understandable. Considering how blacks are treated in this country, it would take something like a black person being elected president to give a black woman a reason to be proud of her country. As a white man, I know President Obama's election made me a lot prouder of my country too.
