Jul 20 - David Beckham is involved in an ugly confrontation with a Los Angeles Galaxy fan during a match against AC Milan.

some fan, Love him or hate him Beckham is a team player and still gets the results. Beckham is a slave to the sport, he plays all your round just to stay fit. This will be his last world cup and he will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Its been made very clear that he needs to play in Europe to make this happen, thats why he was with AC Milan this summer. So these selfish so called fans need to think on a bigger scale than just the Galaxy. With the exception of this country its a big deal and an honor to represent your country in the world cup, As this will be his last WHAT WOULD YOU DO.

Beckham is a prima donna, used to being the biggest fish in the pond and having everyone kiss his a$$ everywhere he goes. He got a rude awakening when he took his act to the States where nobody cares much about soccer. And the few that do, don't care for losers.

And now he's stuck, contractually obligated to play for a bad team in a country he doesn't like, and having to take crap from fans who care more about their team than they do about him.

He doesn't want Galaxy fans giving him a hard time? There's an easy way to prevent that. Stop being such a whiny bitch, and start winning soccer games.

Ok so what is?? You get on a soccer pitch and run constantly for 45 min EACH HALF and see how long you last. they don't stop for commericals or to check the cameras.... soccer is one of the oldest sports in the world and the most common played sport apart from cricket.. go to any corner of the world and see what the children play in the streets.... kids are pushed into baseball by their parents because of the money..however baseball does not produce the athelets soccer does.. you only denounce it because you don't know about it and you are a sheep and follow most americans who are threatened by it.. now don't get me wrong I have an 8 yr old son and I would be proud if he was a baseball player however the chances of him doing roids is about 1000% higher in baseball than soccer..these soccer players are playing for their counrty against every country --how noble and exciting baseballers play Japan and Canada.. and if you are even talking american football all that is , is a 2 steps foward and 5 steps back---entertaining but redundant... tell you what next time you are in Houston or England let me know and my husband and I will take you to a pub for a soccer match and you will be a fan for life... also if you have a minute watch the movie "green street hooligans" good movie and true to life-- soccer is more than kicking a ball around it is a way of life..

He was not whining he was standing up to a dickhead fan.. he created most of the goals the Galaxy had lately... yes he should stick out his contract however he does need to do whats best for him-- it's not about the money he is taking a pay cut.. so it's all his fault ?? so when should the other players be responsible for winning games-- you are a moron who just contridicted yourself..

Beckham is a globle brand he is known all over the world, After playing for the two biggest clubs in the world and that goes for any sport you cant blame him for wanting to go back and play FOOTBALL with other world class players. After the crap that Landon Donovan pulled last week I dont blame him at all. Maybe Americas just not ready, After all respect is somthing you earn. You will never see the game stop for camercials, maybe thats why the networks spreed this hatered for the game, It could also be that soccer is one of the few things that the usa is just not good at, Skill ,stamina, or just playing together as a team, comon united......

Since the woman won the big world championship and America *still* doesn't care about soccer, how can you say the reason soccer is not popular in the USA is because they're not good in World Cups?

If Landon Donovan was a baseball or football or basketball player, he would be a national superstar. Instead he's just someone most Americans have never heard of.

David Beckham is so precise that he can stand 40 yrds away from a stop sign, kick a soccer ball and hit the stop 7 times out of 10---THAT IS A PROVEN FACT>>> show me any other "athelete" that can do the same---you will find a few and guess what THEY ARE ALL SOCCER PLAYERS.. no other athelete beside Tiger Woods has that precision..not on roids or cocaine like most of the baseball players. NFL is a joke as well -it is all set up --staged and stop and go NO real time for actual playing

OH i know all german Baseball or american football players(joke).I watched a first league baseball game in germany and there were 25 people to watch the game and 25 people a not bad for a first league baseball gsme in germany.

The last years of LA of LA were not very successfull.The people thought when Beckhm will come then we are successfull like in our early or middle time of MLS.Beckham is not a leader but he is not the alone problem.The last 2-3 years LA wasent in playoffs.Since 2006 in LA were 4 coaches.There is some wrong in the team.Soccer is a team sport.And Donovan write in his book that Beckham is not a good captain.The one side will be go to Donovan the other side to Beckham.we have to sides and if want a cup all must stay together for the success.Donovan every year he is the best offense player and best scorer.That is his job.But i dont think that he is a good captain.And a basketball coach said Offense wins games and defense wins championschips. The defense was ´the worst in the last years of LA IN MLS.And the most team who won the MLS had a good defense.And defense is teamsport.To do more if you must to help the team, like in confedcup.The US players jumped in all balls.

Last time I checked there were no stop signs on a soccer field. And if an athlete's skills do not translate to on-field success, he's merely an underacheiver.

You underestimate baseball's popularity in Germany.

Although they never won a title, Germany's national team has been competing in the European Baseball Championship since 1954 and in the Baseball World Cup since 1972.

Definitely. And it started with Beckham. Before he even showed up he insisted on being made the captain, completely disrespecting Donovan and the rest of the team. Then he brought in his best friend to manage the team, and it was all downhill from there.

It wasn't just Donovan, the whole team thought he was a bad captain. He wouldn't show up for practices, he never rallied the players during rough stretches, he never called team meetings during losing streaks. He didn't do the things that a captain does, that Donovan used to do.

The big crisis of LA began after the mastery in 2005.
There became LA master and cup-winner. A year later they were not already at all any more in the Playoffs. Then there came Beckham and the people thought now everything changes. Now we attack again. However, it did not change, it became even worse. One should consider sometimes what has happened after the mastery. Whether the team is too full and does not have any more the motivation or whether there is some problems between players.
Beckham was not also the big bringer. The numbers of spectators have risen some. Beckham is the most expensive player on the payroll and if the AC Milan comes and wants to have Beckham, I do not understand why the Management of LA there not agree. Then first one must pay a player less (who has brought anyhow nothing) and secondly one still gets a thick transfer fee. But still I do not think the LA without Beckham more successfully is.Da has happened some after the Championschip.

I can say to LA.Beckham for sale to Milan.You get maybe
a transfer fee and there is the most expensive not on the payroll.Maybe in a few years LA can get Ronaldinho.
That germany were often in baseball worldcups.Thats correct but worldcup in Baseball are not very representative.Usually in Worldcup the best players in the world play in Worldcup or nearly the best players.
That there are players were born in Germany and playing or played that is correct too.But these players played or play in his career in America.But one of greatest players in MLB Babe(Georg Hermann)Ruth and Lou(Heinrich Ludwig)Gehrig had german parents.
