Galaxy's Donovan Not Sure He Wants To Play At Brazil World Cup
Landon Donovan isn't sure he wants to play at the 2014 World Cup, a stance that prompted U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann to say he intends to speak with the longtime American star.

although I agree that Mr. Donovan has ben a bright spot for American soccer and the trials his tenure as the poster boy for US Soccer since his entrance at a young age and respect him for all he has contributed, I find the tail end of his comments a bit suspect as to motivation. He wants to be wanted, he wants to be asked to participate. In voicing such concerns I see a person who feels he is being disrespected given his accomplishments. So for me his interview revealed a childish side of a man who decidedly chnaged the face of soccer in the US. We all hit low points in our lives and unfortunately for an athlete to remain at the top of his game we all face one inescapable delimiter. Age. That point wherthe mind says go but the body says, wait a minute!!!
