Lott to resign before end of the year

This story is incomplete. They left out Lott's comment that, now that his party is not in power, he doesn't feel like he can get anything done. They also left out that Lott's resignation date is timed so that he isn't subject to the new rules governing former government employees and when they are eligible to take those lucrative lobbyist jobs. Had he decided to retire after January first, he would have to wait 2 years before going to work for one of the agencies on K street.
When asked what he would do next, he alluded to possibly teaching. Yeah right, Lott is the king of pork. If anyone knows how to manipulate the system, this inbreeder does.
