Sole Loyalty: The Identity Politics of Immigration Reform

There are 3 comments on the www.americanthinker.com story from Jun 9, 2011, titled Sole Loyalty: The Identity Politics of Immigration Reform. In it, www.americanthinker.com reports that:

Because we are bound together by a set of principles that transcend race, ethnicity, and national origin, our national unity requires an absolute fidelity to the covenant of American citizenship. For immigrants, entry into the covenant begins with passage through our borders on terms set by the American people and codified under our immigration laws.

Contrary to what some advocates of immigration reform and amnesty allege, opposition is not founded upon xenophobia or bigotry.

Only by maintaining an orderly and honorable process of immigration can we preserve the American Dream that served generations of immigrants in the past.

Only by protecting our cultural foundation, embodied by shared traditions, ethics, and language, with neither racial prejudice nor racial passion, can we continually be ready for "the tremendous tasks of both war and peace."

The bigotry is all on the invader's side. Mexicans are taught that america stole land from mexico 160 years ago and they have a RIGHT to invade and harm americans!!! We are crazy to let any mexican live here as long as they think like that.

Almost all bordes in the past history were determined by war, or threat of war, or coups/revolutions. There were a few determined by the marriage of thrones, but those were a tidbit historically. So, now, if La Raza wants to take back what they mistakenly think is theirs, please try it: But, before you do, think of your children and how they will be the ones who suffer, because your culture can not compete with one that was built on Anglo-saxon, Judeo-Christian beliefs. Maybe in another lifetime in the future, but right now, you don't have enough predators, and you live your lives to be excepted, instead of taking personal reponsibility.
