FBI inquiry of Murdoch's empire: reliance on Brits

Jul 24, 2011 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Boston.com

The FBI is just cranking up a preliminary review of whether alleged phone hacking and bribery by Rupert Murdoch's media empire violated U.S. laws, but any resolution may well have to await the outcome of British investigations.

It's not OK for a reporter to go over bounds in their actions. Murdoch agrees with this. No proof that he ordered anything.
However, due to your thinking, we should close down congress because someone shows his "weiner!"
Maybe get rid of all the doctors because one has an affair?
How about we get rid of all the socialists because of the millions killed by mao, stalin, hitler, pol pot......
Smoking that crack pipe, yet again, eh Whistlebottom??

LOL

Who's advocating getting rid of 'all' journalists????

Only the Fox Ministry of Propagand and the entire Newscorp empire- still plenty of other "news" sources out there, Sparkles.

Of course, as expected, you make no mention of justice in this case of clear criminal activity.

Pull licenses now, and restore them when they come clean.

The word justice isn't known throughout the liberal atmosphere of hypocrisy. Bob Becker and many liberals are regualar members of Fox. MSNBC's commentators haven't got the courage. Olberhamm has never had a desenting view on his wimp show.

Pull licenses? Sure, maddow, oblerhamm, matthews, soros....we'll go along with that. Rolling stone who has been caught fabricating many stories. Go for it.

Sorry, Gristlebottom, no fabrications from Rolling Stone, only Repukelican talking points fed you by the Fox Ministry of Propaganda.

Pull Newscorp's licenses, once and for all. Hate merchants like Ruptured Murdoch need to be subjected to the Sherman Act and broken up, since it was illegal for half a century or more to own more than one or two media outlets in any given city- repeal of the Fairness Doctrine allowed the rise of corporate media fascism from Newscorp, Clearchannel, and others.

Holder and his flim flam justice dept ought to go after the ATF`s gun running to the Mexican drug cartels with such vigor. I`ll bet he`s with holding info to protect himself and O`buma.
These 2 are responsible not only for the deaths of our border agents, but for the thousands of innocent people who were and are being murdered by the cartel scum..........
I pray that O`buma and Holder and any and all who in this administration knew and approved, can be charged with crimes against humanity.........

Bob Becker? What is a Bob Becker? One of those low grade nobody's Fox sticks on for Hannity to use as a punching bag? Then you try to compare that to MSNBC who has signed both Howard Dean and Michael Steel to present opposing views.

The ATF is run by a low level Bush appointee who got the job when his boss left and nobody else wanted the job. The entire concept of the ATF in my opinion is counter constitutional and the ATF should be disbanded. I do not have a problem with “follow the goods” sting operations but they need to run by professionals who know what they are doing not a bunch of untrained cowboys. Of course if Obama did shut down ATF I am sure you would be the first one to claim he is against law enforcement and is closing vital organizations that protects us.

This isn't about closing down the ATF. This is about a cover up. Holder knew about the program and it is likely that Obama did too. I don't know where you are coming up with incompetent. It sounds like the ATF was doing exactly what Holder and Obama wanted them to do...put weapons in the hands of criminals.
This is a very serious situation not unlike Watergate. The program itself is one discussion, but the cover following Brian Terry's death is the impeachable offense.

I see you are still misusing the word fascist. Fascism is heavy handed government intervention into business. I'm sure Murdoch doesn't want the government intervening into his businesses much at all. Murdoch would be most accurately described as a private enterprise capitalist. Do you have a problem with private enterprise capitalism?

RTime to break up this freakshow and sell off their licenses to new liberal run media once and for all, restore the Fairness Doctrine and forbid owing multiple media in cities across the nation, and the sheeple will scatter and find different flocks.

While we're at it we should clear up the "left" wing, "right" wing thing. You aren't off base when you call Obama a "right winger", you just don't know why that would be acceptable.
Actually, the Tea Party advocacy of restoring America by revisiting our Constitution is the moderation position between left and right wing. It is not too much government nor is it no government. It is respect for a framework of laws.

In this instance,“left wing” and “right wing” was used to describe a fracture on one side only. No where in political history is “right wing” used to describe the ideology of limited government except during recent times by the left to discredit American conservatism — and many American conservatives allow such an uneducated misuse.

Using Norway’s government as an example: Norway is ruled by the Labour Party, a socialist party, and is affiliated with the Party of European Socialists. The Labour Party embraces the Keynesian economic theory and more centralized state control. This, according to the proper definition of the term “right wing,” would classify not only Norway’s socialist Labour Party as “right wing,” but would also classify America’s Democratic Socialists as “right wing.” Nazis, officially the National Socialist Party, would be correctly classified as “right wing.” Ideologies which oppose such heavy-handed government control would be accurately considered “left-wing.”

Further confusion with the term “right wing” begins by misidentifying the hallmarks of such beliefs.“Right wing” accurately applies to total or increased government control (communism, socialism, monarchy, oligarchy, et al.) where as “left wing” describes either zero or little government control (anarchy, republic). An oldie but goodie video illustrating the differences and identifying factors of both wings:

You seem to be suffering from a lot of misinformation. Agent Terry was not killed by an ATF gun. One was found at the scene along with several other discarded non ATF guns. There has not been any cover up. The sting operation is pretty much like other “follow the goods” operations conducted every day by law enforcement agencies across the country that don’t need presidential authority to be conducted. The difference is that most of those other stings are conducted by professionals who know what they are doing.

i have a problem with people hacking into peoples #### for self gain bribing police politicians and overall just being a total bastard. if thats your definition of private enterpise capitalist then yes i have a VERY big problem with it and the people who sugercoat it to make it seem like it is NOT basterdry in the highest form.

its shows a very unrealistic and dangerous disreguard for people to say its anything other.

Although I don't entirely disagree, it is getting "into the weeds" a little bit, don't you think?

Suffice to say by our stateside definition of these terms as they continue to morph, are really more transparent then we're led to believe.

The "teaparty" is not so much defined by "constitutionalism" as it is a reactionary group, largely financed and propagandized by big industry as a foil to the left, currently in power, and the growing majority of voters in America.

It is a last dying gasp of a social and a political philosophy based on "otherism" which at every turn has chosen to humiliate, delegitimize Obama in particular, and the progressive liberal agenda generally.

All funded and propagandized as I mentioned by corporate fascist interests determined to fundamentally change the country by repealing the long held social contracts we have lived with since FDR, and turn us into a state where voting is a quaint, pointless formality, while the interests of the few against the many are paramount, done through legislation and wealth redistribution from the bottom, up.
