Charles,

Are you totally ignorant? Do you pay any attention to the news, or do you only believe what you want to believe? The Justice department, actually acting honorably, threw out the case because prosecutors didn't turn over all the evidence, which they are required to do. This does not mean that Ted Stevens is innocent; indeed, according to many of those on the jury, he would have been found guilty.

It's bad enough that you believe these crooks when they claim they are innocent in the face of overwhelming evidence, citing a partisan witchhunt (much like the former governor of CT) but then you also twist the facts.

Do us all a favor - read the actual facts of the matter before you shoot your mouth off - Ted Stevens used his political influence for monetary gifts, much like Blagovitch. It doesn't matter where you sit politically - if a politician breaks the law, they should pay.

Finally - please accept the fact that the Republican party lost this past election. Whether you like it or not, agree with it or not, Obama was legitimately elected President. Most of what he is doing as president is what he was elected to do. Personally, he isn't nearly enough socialist for me - he isn't even socialist, despite the loony right wing outcry. So get over it, and offer up a viable alternative, something which the current version of Republicans have failed to do.

It doesn't matter if he was guilty or not. He was an evil republican (an oxymoron?) who's gonzo. He can't F-up our country any more.
And neither can you- loser!
The usual tripe from this poster...lots of emotional baggage and a ton of biased attitude. Entertaining though to read this guy "come unglued".

And the witch hunt against the Clintons was legal and a good use of our tax dollars? Yeah, right.

Face it, the "Reagan Revolution" was a failure that grossly enriched the rich and screwed the rest of us. Thank goodness their crimes can now be exposed and the country can correct the mistakes of the (Republican) past.

The federal prosecutors were Bush appointees, knucklehead. The conviction was voided on technicalities, which, though serious, did'nt hide the fact that Stevens was guilty. Stevens can thank liberals for ensuring that prosecutions are fair.

You do realize that term limits will also limit the time conservative politicians you like can serve. If a constituency likes a politician enough to keep him around indefinitely, then he shall do so. The people can impose term limits when they get tired of someone, they vote them out.

No need to repeat this post but I just want to remind people that it was the Bush Justice department that prosecuted the case but failed to disclose (perhaps intentionally) all the evidence they had in the case. Republicans can never accept blame or responsibility when they mess up.

Sorry Charley,
This prosecution occurred during the Bush administration's Justice dept. You remember Gonzalez, Mukasy, Karl Rove (and his involvement in unjustified firings). Conservative outrage one again pointing in the wrong direction.

Charles,

You make an excellent point. It demonstrate the hypocracy of the far left. Those who don't break the law but excercise there rights as citizens are denigrated, humiliated and intimidated by the far left loons. And those enablers in the mainstream media remain silent. But the real cuprits of injustice and political propoganda go free and are actually applauded by much of the press.

It's about time we target the repressive media for there roll to renege on their support for the constitutional rights of all Americans. All for their own partisan political purposes.

God Bless America!

A Happy and Blessed Easter to all men of good will.

Comrade disgusting,

You are not a man of good will. Going around and falsely attacking real men of good will.

You know what awaits you?

Neither do I, but God does. So be careful, repentant and tolerant if you know what's good for you.

Especially on this Good Easter Sunday.

Who ran the justice department and hired the federal prosecutors? Not the far left or the liberal media. So answer the question and point your fingers in the right direction.

That Ted Stevens lost his Senate seat because he was incompetently prosecuted by the Bush Justice Department,
resulting in the Republican failure to block Obama's stimulus package shows that perhaps God does indeed exist, has a sense of humor, and works in mysterious ways. And Happy Easter to LT.

Your idea of "good will" is exactly the opposite of the Bible + Koran-Burning, anti-Humanist, anti-Species-ist Good Guys. Your bad is our good.

When we say you're bad, we don't mean you're a tough guy. We are saying everything about you is wrong, stupid and worthless.

If Bush hadn't fired all the competent prosecutors, there probably wouldn't have been a problem with the Steven's prosecution.

The same type of Justice Department that framed John Demjanjuk as Ivan the Terrible and later that DOJ was found guilty of fraud upon the court and reckless disregard of evidence. Pronounced guilty by federal judges twice -- but Janet Reno never investigated or prosecuted these Justice Department creeps.

Oh, you're right, McCain/Palin would have been much better. Continue with Bush policies and keep this country on the course it was on. Genius, you got it all figured out.

Do you think they'd really fix an election? Like the Supreme Court would step in and stopped the actual counting of votes? Oh wait, that did happen. It sucks being on the losing end of elections and your policies aren't put in place? It's called LOSING! The rest of America is now taking over.
