You are wrong. This wasn't a case of the prosecutors not crossing their Ts ... They lied ... and withheld evidence ... and despite orders by the judge, refused to release their files. The judge held them in contempt, and the prosecutors were replaced ... and that is when all of their illegal shenanigans was exposed.

As I said, I don't believe a new election should be held ... but these prosecutors need to be barred from practicing law ever again. This should not be tolerated.

Begich won fair and square, regardless of this new development. The people of Alaska spoke, and he does not need to step down.

The moral and ethical thing for Mark Begich to do is resign. I believe there needs to be an investigation to determine if there were contacts between the Federal prosecution team and operatives from the Democrat Party and Mark Begich campaign. Remember Most of Mark's TV ads focused on the Stevens indictment and ensuing issues.

No way should Begich step down. Stephens is guilty and that is undisputed. The case was thrown out on a technicality.

Uncle Ted got away with his crimes because he was found guilty. The charges were dropped because the prosecutors broke the rules of evidence.
Accidentally, or deliberately as a political favor?

Given the re-pubic-hair domination of Alaska and their rampant corruption, it is no stretch of the imagination to think that there were corrupt judges and prosecutors appointed by them. Just look at Sarah Palin's political favor to her husband, the harassment and firing of a cop.
