I am no fan of this administration or Holder, but in this case he said something I like hearing:
.
Holder wants to send a message to prosecutors throughout the department that actions he regards as misconduct will not be tolerated.
.
The courts being used as an extension of politics is a practice that has to be stopped.

So he gets off just because the prosecutors made a few technical errors during the trial? Did those mistakes affect the final verdict? I guess we'll never know now.

I only hope the AG steps in when I'm convicted of a crime and dismisses all charges because I'm old.....

Agree. I have to say that's I'm impressed with Holder on this one.

The feds have unlimited resources for evidence gathering so when some of that evidence actually shows innocence, they face a test of Integrity.

Seems the Justice Dept has failed that Test many times during this trial. How many others?

Good for Holder.

Sounds like Obama, is trying to win Republican support for this conviction to be voided.

Holder is an Obama supporter.

Wonder who is next?

The politics in this Stevens Case is wide open!

What evidence was withheld?

When did prosecutors know about this evidence?

How did it become known that evidence was withheld?

Stevens and his family will just be entitled to his pension ... at taxpayers expense.

Guilt or not, any warranted charge should be a swift removal of position AND pension.

This would halt all shadiness as a deterant to getting caught or investigated.

Perfectly Legal: The Covert Campaign to Rig our Tax System to Benefit the Super Rich- and Cheat Everyone Else

One of the country's top investigative reporters reveals how the richest people within the top 1 percent of the country has rigged the tax code and other laws in its favor.
Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter David Cay Johnston has been breaking pieces of this story on the front page of The New York Times for nine years, work for which one business school professor calls him ěthe de facto chief tax enforcement officer of the United Statesî. With Perfectly Legal, he puts the whole shocking narrative together in a way that will stir up media attention and make readers angry about the state of our country. And he has sound advice on what to do.

Lets see if Holder goes after Bush , Gonzo and Rove for the corruption in the Justice Department?

Don't hold your breath.

==========

Bush Says Aides Won't Take Oath Over DOJ Firings
http://tinyurl.com/2s84jy March 20, 2007
The struggle between the White House and Congress over the firings of eight U.S. attorneys intensified Tuesday. President Bush accused Democrats on Capitol Hill of playing partisan politics and said he would not allow his top aides to testify under oath about the firings.
The White House offered instead to allow presidential adviser Karl Rove, former White House counsel Harriet Miers and others to be interviewed in private by congressional committees.
Democrats quickly rejected the proposal. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy said the "testimony should be on the record and under oath." The president said that would set a bad precedent and hurt his ability to get good advice. The president called his own proposal "reasonable" and said the White House would not go along with "partisan fishing expeditions."

Former Senator Ted Stevens is clearly a victim of politicized evil Justice Department who was doing everything to destroy the Republican Senator and transfer more power to the Democrats.
The American people should be disgusted with the efforts of the fascistic media of the anarchist Bolshevik George Soros and his lying and deceiving media that is using false accusations of GOP politicians in their effort to destroy them and open the way to Democratic political power.
Great American patriotic conservative politicians private life is the new target of the anti-American Marxist and pro-radical islamic media led by the evil and dark reporters of The New York Times and its ACLU lawyers, MSNBC, ABC, CNN that are aiming at destroying the true character of the conservative politicians like Ted Stevens, Sarah Palin, Jindle with lies and deceit and change the outcome of the elections for the incompetent liberal Democrats.
