It's news because most progressives are exactly as you describe. If you think these comments are out of line, I encourage you to revisit comments by right-wingers following Wellstone's plane crash. Thank goodness progressives (Saul Alinsky followers) are so kind and considerate, couldn't imagine they would ever defame a sitting president, like when Bush was president...because like you wrote they are above that.

Keith Hennessey, former Assistant to the U.S. President for Economic Policy and Director of the U.S. National Economic Council, October 10, 2008 === The best data we have show that the US economy grew around 1 percent in the first quarter of this year, and 3.3 percent in the second quarter. That's not even close to a recession, and 3.3% is fairly strong growth. The economy is clearly in a worse position now than it was in the second quarter, due first to high oil prices, and now to the consequences of what's going on in the financial markets. But the term "recession" is a technical economic term, and I don't think it should be used to mean "something is wrong in the economy", as often is done in a political environment. So things are tough now, and we're working to fix them as best we can. But I'll wait on evaluating the "recession" word until we see the data.

What generally happens when the government monetizing the debt? Which by the way is what Obama is doing.

I am surprised your socialist-marxist main stream media even reported this story. As for your quote "it would just be another day of calling the president a Nazi, yelling out "You lie!" at him in Congress, or calling for things like armed insurrection". I guess the truth hurts you comrade!
