Well one RINO gets it will Snow see the light. Obama said if his bills did not pass jobless would get to 8% well it is over 10 % and it passed now if this passes job lose will go over 25%. So the arrogant opportunist, John "Swifty" Heinz, and the elitist racist with an economics degree from Brooklyn College, Barbara Boxer, want to stick it to the American people once again. How anyone can think that this bill is a good idea for the United States is beyond me. It does VERY little to actually curb "Global Warming", or "Climate Change" as they now call it since data has come out that we are actualy cooling not warming. All this will do is line the pockets of the heads of the corporations involved and those politicians who are connected to those corporations. Not much different than those involved in the oil industry who the Liberals lambast for making millions.

Wow, lots of anger and name-calling so far in these comments, but no real substance. Whining is not becoming and doesn't really do much to convince others you're right. It mostly just solidifies those that agree with you and alienates everyone else. Perhaps you could provide some scientific or economic data to show that this legislation is a threat to Ohio's economy. I doubt you'll find that though because the public voices and politicians against it don't have anything beyond derisive rhetoric either.

If the bill gets passed, low income people will receive payments from gov to offset the increase in energy costs. That is part of the drive for dems, get more money in the pockets of the parasite class and keep their vote forever, just look at how the dems have played the game with SS and welfare.

Those who oppose the Global Warming hoax haven't been allowed to speak at any hearings, etc. in order to dispel the lies. Would YouTube be sufficient for you? Go find the video of the man questioning your buddy Al Gore (you know - the guy who graduated with a bachelors degree in Government from Harvard and subsequently dropped out of divinity school AND law school) about the increase of the polar bear population. Gore only commented that they're "endangered" and then they wrestled the man away from the podium. Try something fun today - THINK FOR YOURSELF.

If we allow those horseless carriages to replace horses all the blacksmiths will be out of work and our economy will collapse! I can't remember, did that happen? Only in America can huge corporations (who somehow have more rights than humans according to the supreme court) snow people into thinking coal and oil are going to protect you from something. All those two resources are going to do is become more scarce, more expensive, continue to ruin both the economy and environment as they have for decades. But you Foxites keep right on buying the party line until you are both broke and trying to survive on a planet where only the insects have a fighting chance. The Copenhagen Protocol establishes a world government related to redistribution of wealth. The "developing countries" which includes China and India two of the worlds greatest polluters, think back to the Chinese olympics. The Copenhagen allows a world organization "the Facility" their words not mine, to levy a 2% tax on every transaction in the U.S. and if they deem it not enough to cover their idea of what we should pay they can impose a mnetary penality to increase our "responsibility". This money is then put into a general fund and distributed by "the Facility" to those non industrialized countries, of which Chine and India are identified as ones. The Copenhagen Protocol is only concerned with redistributing wealth, and establishing a world governmental organization. I have read the preliminary protcol, it is online in pdf format. Back to the job loss, the 2% tax on our GDP will provide a cooling trend in our economy, this will raise prices and lose jobs across the nation. The other control the "Facility" will have is the ability to control the air and sea lanes, they will have the power to stop or limit flights and shipments to and from certain countries, this will also affect our ability to trade with other countries unless they are the countries that the "Facility" determines need the trade. Read the protocol yourself, never trust anothers ability to "interpret" anything, including news medias. As far as AGW remember what IPCC stands for, InterGOVERNMENTAL Panel on Climate Change. The panel was a group of governments who recruited and PAID scientists to provide acceptable information on a subject. Many if not most of these countries are classified as "developing" which means under Kyoto and Copenhagen Protocols are not required to cut any supposed "greenhouse gases" and are eligable to recieve funding from the "Facility", that is where our 2% will be going.

I'm right with you on that but please don't denegrate the memory of Pennsylvania senator John Heinz, who's wife became Ms Kerry. He was a straight talking stand up guy and probably would have made a great president. I wish he was with us today.
