my mother was 1/4 Cherokee and in the early 1900's Indians were discrimination against so she dyed her hair red, Indians went to Indian schools, most Indian tribes were moved by force into the Okla badlands not a state then where outlaws and settlers and Indians inter mixed had children so many whites now have a degree of Indians blood and many don't have CDIB's, my father is 1/16 Cherokee but not on roll as my mother was as I am and my children and grandchildren, Elizabeth's grandparents told her she was Indian so as a woman of great character and that says she is Indians, she is Indian, also Indians were not allowed to vote until 1923
