Obama signs STOCK Act, banning insider trading by members of Congress

President Barack Obama signs the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act, Wednesday, April 4, in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on the White House complex in Washington.

you don't actually think the law was written because of one person, or one party do you?
did you see the report on "60 minutes"?

The new law lets the public see more of government officials' financial dealings yet some members of Congress said it fell short. Lawmakers abandoned an earlier proposal to require public reports from people who gather information from Congress and sell it, mostly to investors.
Called the STOCK Act, which stands for Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge, the new law requires that public reports of new transactions exceeding $1,000 be posted online either 30 days after the individual was notified of a transaction in his or her account, or 45 days after the transaction.
Totally useless.
Don't put the money in my account but in a subsidiary that I own, problem solved.

1) It prevents ANY tabagger nut job from taking over.
2)It is the nature of a politician and no you shouldn't believe him now.
What possesed you to somehow believe him in the first place?
He is a politician, how old are you?
3) George did that just fine and when Obama attained office, he scaled back or delayed the corporate takeover of the U.S. Government.

Obama has made the rich (about 1 %) richer in the stock market.

Obama has made the poor (30%) more poor.

Obama has given bigger jobs to already wealthy people ( 3%) making more wealth.

Obama has made the middle class and average people nothing, but taking their money to give to the already rich (2%) the more money , and giving middle-class large household-debts and no jobs.

Since Bush era, Obama by saying jobs are coming back, is equal to net loss of jobs-there were more people employed during Bush period than today ---Obama has lost the jobs of Bush times and still cannot get them all back when saying jobs are coming back, to the end of his presidency .

Obama is specialized to make 1% rich people richer, and rip off middle-class money to give to businesses and in stock market.
Obama generates more poor people than Bush era. There are more poor people created by Obama these days than Bush days.

Whatever Obama has to do, IN ORDER to make increasing the highest national debts since history of time , to even go to the extent to make the middle-class and most everyone broke, is to see 1% of people get rich in the stock market, as the stock market is what they call as high now.

Agreed! And what better way to reduce that debt than lowering taxes to the lowest rates in the history of time!(okay, maybe just 1913, but who's really counting)

To be serious for a moment, the last time we had this debt was after WW2, and we sure as hell didn't get out of it then by kneecapping the tax rates. I know a lot of people talk about how president Obama has taken so-called "unprecedented actions" as president, but it would be a mistake to think that Paul Ryan's budged isn't unprecedented, too.
