Remember this was a pimary election, an election with low voter turn out. Most of the voters in this last election are generally highly movated to vote. Your obsrvations need to be looked at in light of these facts.
What could be more important than limiting who can vote?
Also limiting the right to vote without a good reason and in a short timeframe is only ment to lower the turnout of certain segments of voters.
