Kansas GOP urging candidates to pledge loyalty
The Kansas Republican Party is asking GOP candidates for the state Legislature to pledge their allegiance to the party leadership after the November election.Clay Barker, executive director of the state Republican Party, said Friday that letters seeking the pledge were sent this week to 31 official GOP candidates for the Kansas Senate.

That's the way it's supposed to be - the *constituents* best interests, not their own.
The Democrats could use a pledge like *that* too.
