Guns soon could be checked in on Amtrak

Not bad, but it will be better when they recognize the rights of the passengers to protect themselves and carry while on the trains.
Psst, Amtrak....some people already do.

If people were allowed to defend themselves on airplanes (like they could in 1950-1970) the attacks on September 11th would have been different with dead hijackers instead of planes crashing into buildings.

People should be allowed to defend themselves at all times, and in all places.

Most people who are against civilian gun ownership don't consider how many lives are saved each year by armed citizens. A gun is only a tool, it can in some cases level the field against a would be attacker. A gun can put the most frail person on somewhat of an equal footing with an attacker, if proper instruction is given, and mindset is correct. The mainstream media rarely gives this side of the story !
