Guess what genius...we can make it without the disaster money...Obama wasnt here 30 mins, I saw all his teeth as he was smiling riding by all us working to help our neighbors...hes a politician not a humanitarian...showed up and did nuthing...we have it taken care of with or without him...sounds like you have your hat hung on your savior Obama....good luck with that
Great I'm so happy you and your state are self sufficient and everything is taken care of without any alabaman using federal disaster money. Obama is far from my savior. You sound surprised he's anything more than a politician. Would you have liked him to clear some rubble, maybe give you a hug? Fact is Obama would probably have been lynched if he stayed more than 30 minutes. You reap what you sow and your field is only half planted. Have a wonderful May; see you in Oz.

It's not like Katrina because we don't have a Democrat Governor and a Democrat Mayor mismanaging emergency response and using widespread destruction and death for political points.
Secede already. Take Texas with you. Who needs whiners like you who spit on those who come to help you.

Let us remember the Republiscum response to Katrina:

“The federal response to Katrina was nothing short of a disaster. A 2006 report compiled by House Republicans slammed what it called “a failure of leadership,” saying that the federal government’s “blinding lack of situational awareness and disjointed decision making needlessly compounded and prolonged Katrina’s horror.” The report specifically blamed Bush, noting that “earlier presidential involvement could have speeded the response” because the president alone could have cut through bureaucratic resistance.

There is no question that the federal response was slow — deadly slow. Katrina made landfall on Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, and the New Orleans levees were breached that morning. Despite the numerous warnings he had received about the storm’s severity, Bush spent that Monday traveling to Arizona and California to promote his Medicare drug bill. It was characteristic of the entire federal response

Despite a FEMA official’s eyewitness accounts of breaches starting at 7 p.m. on Aug. 29,” the Bush administration “did not consider them confirmed” until 11 hours later. In fact, FEMA did not order the evacuation of New Orleans until 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 31, two full days after Katrina made landfall.

In one area, however, the Bush administration did move quickly: pinning the blame for Katrina on its political opponents."

Yes, that is typical Bumya Bush the worst President in US History.

Did you see where Romney doesn't want to take part in the first debate? Now that is funny.

For all his MANY faults Obama does play a good game of chess.

No one can buy karma. This is karma previously lent out and now returned back in full. Yeah I'll admit it's a dickish thing to say considering all the suffering, but it's no worst than the crap people in these states have been spewing out on here every day. It sure is easy to dish out the political diatribe and insults when things are bad elsewhere so it should be just as easy to take it.
just sit back and watch us rebuild and and god will help us why because we trust that he will look out tide rising

If God was looking out for anyone then nothing bad would have happened in the first place. Rationalizing does not change reality.

Damn that big government forcing states to take federal disaster money. For all the crap these southern states have given the first black president he sure did write that check pretty quick for them. And they grab it quicker than money provided from the stimulus. Won't do them any good though. God hates the southern states and their racist, morally bankrupt political views. He sends tornados to remind the ignorant bigots how pathetically fantastic their goals of confederacy still are and until people there start treating one another like real christians should he will send more and more. Good thing they got that Noah's Ark theme park. Just because their heads are empty doesn't mean they'll be able to float. They're gonna need that boat.
Wow, I've been around topix for years and this is the single most incredibly asinine post I've seen. What kind of an a s s must you be to warrant that distinction?

Oh Jesus Christ Almighty.

If God loves you then she would not let anything too bad happen to you. Lessons are one thing, aha moments are another thing, getting destroyed by the weather is just abuse.

New Orleans was under water which made the rescue effort more difficult then when the tornadoes went through Alabama. They did not have as much water to contend with as with Katrina.

Actually it's all our money given out through the department of agriculture, education, health and human services, homeland security, housing and urban development, justice, labor, interior, treasury, veterans affair, office of personal management, postal service, U.S. small business administration and Social Security administration. So our tax dollars are going to take care of all these poor homeless people. How about we give them all drug tests first before we issue checks out? How can these states call the president and his party socialist and communist when if there is a need for them that wealth can be spread around so quickly. Just calling out hypocrites as I see them. Why not just let the insurance industry take care of them? Why have the federal government involved at all? I thought we needed to cut spending? I thought republican states don't need social safety nets or as its normally called social security. Why do I have to pay for people God hates? They should all have money saved up to keep living off of or insurance claims to have rewarded to them. Cut spending you hypocrite socialist marxist commie scumbags.
Wouldnt nee to cut spending if the GOVERNMENT would stop misappropriating funds you retard. Been awhile since you write this. Still feel the same in the wake of OBAMAcare? Narrow minded brainwashed sheep...pathetic.
