A lot of money at stake here folks... federal grants for millions of dollars that are going to produce good jobs, money for schools, etc. A chance to get more locals working, and to stop the departure of our youth who must leave to find meaningful work. A chance to build a plant that helps reduce our dependency on foreign oil. There is a global war linked to these initiatives, if we like to admit that or not.

A lot of the resistance/ hysteria here comes from outside influences. I do not know the owner of the racetrack... but I know this, private property rights should be honored and respected. If people were on his property, parking illegally, he had a right to get angry.

There is a risk. No doubt about that. However, we are not talking about some fly by night industry working to rip everyone off- we are not talking about a pipe dream. Bio fuel is a proven legitimate alternative fuel, and this chance comes fully funded by federal grants. I'd think long and hard before I turned down this kind of opportunity. This is sure to lift a lot of people up... as well as keep many people down if we do not do what is right for our economy. I'd also like to mention, that the waste management of a facility such as this is an industry as well... that will also produce jobs.

Trust, but verify. Thanks for reading.

Howard, thank you. Your post about the protesters that were trespassing was spot on. They should have been arrested.

Trespassing?

They should have been arrested?

Why were they not arrested and charged with unlawful trespass land if that is what they did?

Because Chic Chic Paustian would have also been arrested and charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct fight for starters?
