Good morning folks! There is an idiot or should I say groupe of idiots. That is the ones who are in favor of this polluting Biomass Plant!

Their own history shows that given the chance, they will pollute at a rate far above the allowed limits. They have been fined for this. The Pownal and Fair Haven plans will be no different. The plan is to pollute and the environment can not handle it!

I will be there this Saturday, because I don't want a company coming in this town that breaks the law so many times at the health expense of its neighboring residents. 250 careless violations that caused the innocent people to breath in toxins. How unfair is that??

Those violations were times when innocent children were out playing... maybe you were enjoying the fresh air, unaware that the air was actually filled with toxins.

Maybe you were watching your grandchildren playing outside, unaware that they were breathing in toxins, and so were you.

Maybe you already have breathing issues, and you were outside one of those nice days when you thought today will be a good air quality day, but it wasn't.

250 violations is not a couple mistakes. It's worth fighting for.

See you Saturday!

Thomas Emero and William Bousquet had been involved with previous incarnations of Beaver Wood — Alternate Energy Inc. and GenPower Services LLC — racking up $130,000 for air violations for its biomass plant in Chester, Maine, she said. Records received thorugh public information requests in Maine, she continued, found the biomass plant in Ashland, Maine, between 1998 and 2000 had 44 violations for exceeding the limits of carbon monoxide emissions, 126 violations for air opacity, 79 incidents of carbon-emission violations and two nitrous oxides violations

Biomass generates hearings, forums
Posted: 11/16/2010 10:59:31 PM EST

Tuesday November 16, 2010

POWNAL -- A number of hearings and other events centered around the Beaver Wood biomass proposals in Pownal and Fair Haven are scheduled in the next few days.

On Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m., Josh Schlossberg, an opponent of biomass electricity generation, is scheduled to give a talk on the topic at Fair Haven Elementary School. BE HERE FOR THE TRUTH!

The Bennington County Regional Commission is expected to discuss the Pownal facility at its meeting Thursday, Nov. 18, beginning at 5 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church’s Parish Hall in Arlington. Thomas Emero of Beaver Wood is on the agenda. BE HERE TO QUESTION THE LIAR!

The PSB is scheduled to discuss the Pownal and Fair Haven facilities on Friday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. in the PSB Hearing Room on the third floor of the Chittenden Bank, 112 State St., Montpelier. The pre-hearing conferences are open to the public and are expected to lay out the schedule of future hearings and deadlines. BE HERE FOR THIS ONE!

A public forum Saturday, Nov. 20, will take place in Williamstown, Mass., at 4 p.m. in Fellowship Hall at the First Congregational Church. The event is sponsored by the Bennington-Berkshire Citizens Coalition, the newly formed group that combines the two "Concern Citizens" groups from Pownal and Williamstown. The event includes panelists opposed to biomass electricity production, including Hillary Lister, a resident of Athens, Maine, where a biomass facility was closed in 2002 after public opposition and failure to meet state air quality standards. BE HERE FOR THE TRUTH!

Project opponents will protest at Field Park in Williamstown, Mass., on Friday, Nov. 19, from 3:30 to 5 p. m. and at the northern entrance of the former Green Mountain Race Track on Saturday, Nov. 20, from 9 to 11 a. m. BE HERE TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT AGAINST POLLUTION!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wood_smoke
wood smoke of any kind is not good for people with breathing conditions. I can not step outside my house at nite because of the amount of wood smoke in the air. Nothing is being done about that polution.
Usually a plant will have built with pollution in mind and will have scrubbers etc to cut down on polution. Bennington valley is already heavily polluted in the winter time from wood smoke. after a new snow go outside and look at it.

jeff bombard brings up two very important points!

Usually a plant will have built with pollution in mind and will have scrubbers etc to cut down on polution. CUT DOWN ON POLLUTION MEANS IT STILL POLLUTES!

Bennington valley is already heavily polluted in the winter time from wood smoke. after a new snow go outside and look at it. WE DO NOT NEED ANY MORE POLLUTION ESPECIALLY THE TONS OF POLLUTION THAT A BIOMASS PLANT WILL EMIT.

FOR THIS ONE REASON (POLLUTION) THIS BIOMASS PLANT SHOULD NOT BE BUILT!

woodsmoke may be a concern for these folks but the number of tiny children running around unsupervised at a Friday "protest" at Field Park in Williamstown in the dusk and cold around that danerous rotary intersection carrying signs was a sight to behold. Apparently there are some selective safety beliefs at play.

How do you expect these people to stay warm? Heating oil is getting very close to 3 bucks a gallon. Last winter it was 5 at the high point.

And yet you and Numy have yet to come up with a way to generate power. Numy wants it 100% pollution free. And people in hell want ice water.

Didn't your mother tell you not to eat yellow snow?

Again what is your solution. A serious solution. Not babble. You've yet to give us one.

Are you walking to this protest? Oh, driving. Guess what. The car pollutes.

Take a dump this morning? Guess what? You polluted the water.

Throw something in the trash? Guess what? You polluted.

Are you breathing? Guess what? Hey, you're getting smarter, I knew you could do it. That's right, you're polluting.

See that yellow snow? NO! Don't eat it!
