ok genius, Mubarak steps down then what? did Iran in the 70s teach you anything?sometimes its better the devil you know, because if the brotherhood gets in there its goodbye, suez canal. And besides we know your man Obama, Soros and a bunch of other socialists have been planning for Mubarak to be overthrown since 2009.You all will not be happy till all the islamo fascists are in control. Tell me Mr Leahy, how does it feel to be a puppet to George Soros. And while we are at it lets give a big thank you to the man who allowed this to happen in the 70s, perhaps the 2nd worst president of all (Obama just made top billing) JIMMY CARTER. Shame on you Mr Leahy, and your partner in crime Bernie Sanders, how you to keep getting elected is so far beyond me its not funny. You sir come out of the woodwork around election time and give a town in Vt a little something just to make these sheeple think you are the best, but in truth sir, you are fooling less and less of us.You are ruining Vermont slowly but surely

Those in power-seem to never learn from history/the past-thus they are doom to repeat and repeat and repeat. What is worse is the American (Vermont) voter keeps putting them back in office-looks like they two will never learn.

Let's follow Leahy and if a radical group takes over and this leads to a middle east war (after all one group has said they want war with Isreal} let use name it the Pat Leahy war.

why does Egypt need aid in the first place, our hard earned money seems to be going overseas, not here, where we need it. why is it so hard to pay for college for my kids for instance, why are we not investing in our own country.

You are an idiot Leahy, and I am ashamed of Vermont and anyone who has put you in office. You are a follower and a troublemaker. The US just needs to butt out of a problem that is not ours. They are our Ally and we give them aid for that reason. I heard no complaints before this issue with their poverty and other human rights violations that have happened for years and years. Egypt gets on the news and now all of a sudden the US and its infinite wisdom decides to step in. Too late. The US is not the world police, no wonder why other countries do not like us. We butt our nose where it doesnt belong. We come across as the know it all and arrogant. Just like Leahy!!!

But the answer is not more oil, ours or theirs. Because you know as well I do that all that oil we have here will not all be used here, some will, but not all of it. It would be put on the open market where they would make the most money. So saying that taping into the oil here will get us off foreign oil is just a little misleading. The only way to get off foreign oil is to get off all together or at least as much as we can.

By law, all the oil from the North Slope of Alaska must be sold in the US. For a short time it was sold to Japan, but that was stopped. All the oil from Alaska that goes through the Alaska Pipeline must stay here in the USA. But then the rocket scientists in Washington decided to place an "excess profits tax" on DOMESTIC oil production. So naturally the evil oil companies went overseas to buy the oil.

Have you ever done any seariou research on George Sorros? Perhaps you should. He is interesting and quite powerful-no I don't listen to Glenn Beck. Heard of Sorros years ago and took some time to read about him.

I also want to add that we borrow 40% of the dough we then give to foreign countries so they can resent us for it...
