Well said. This is exactly what people are protesting about ‚ÄĒ the 1% making decisions that benefit them financially while the 99% have no voice. This effects every person's quality of life in PC. Some might argue it's for the better, some say it's for the worse. But everyone should have a say. Put this thing in a special election and let the voters decide. Corrupt, conservative politicians who answer to Talisker's lobbyists and not their constituents need to go!

Cowardly, conniving Talisker and their almighty chums are to be loathed for their violations of the public process and the democratic discussion. Where's the good communication and good will here? Are they crazy? This decision must have a good moral and ethical basis, and to have that requires the people & time, not the arrogance of idiot omnipotents making haste.

Talisker is known for its arrogance and subverting public process while stomping all over the environment. Park City has no political safe guards from its characteristics as long as Park City has a corrupt mayor that caters to Talisker. Mayor Williams has frequent undisclosed meetings with Mandy Sculley VP of Talisker. He refuses to disclose the content of these conversations as does the cowardly Tom Bakaly the putz of a City Manager. And wrapping up this big package is a bunch of inept City Council dipsticks that donít know their head from a hole in the ground. The mayor and city manager screwed the public out of a waste repository by not enforcing the Talisker/Park City agreement that was in place for many years and allowed the public access to dispose of USEPA hazardous soils. Ron Ivie crafted the deal and Baklay/Williams let it go contrary to Ronís insistence so that they could accommodate their Talisker collusion. On top of that, these two idiots proposed a ParkNRide that took up a substantial amount of capacity at the waste repository, which Talisker/United Park City Mines was more than happy to deliver that turd to the public. Bottom line no repository for the public and Joe Kernan through his haze of logic while he steps down is wondering how all that happened? Joe you might think about getting a lead blood test. More to come during the good mayorís campaign kick-off, where he touts how wonderful he is! He sucks as does the City Manager beyond belief.

Outrageous . . . a Canadian real estate company thinks it can completly usurp our political process and has procured the support and complicity of our Utah delegation. Using social media, we need to make sure they pay a price for such a brazen bypass of procedure and sense of corporate entitlement. Let's organize a national boycott of The Canyons.

Thank you, Dr. Bova for bringing such a thoughtful and clear minded perspective to what is transpiring here: the subversion of our democratic processes because those behind this proposal know their disengenuous arguements could not survive the scrutiny of the public process.

Dana might be one cool skate board riding whiskey drinking dude but he and his council did screw up with the hazardous soils from empire that ended up in Richardson flats and not Tooele.
