when republicans get in, they appoint on ideological purity. So they appoint people who don't believe in the mission of the agency or department. Thus you get a chief of civil rights in the DoJ that doesn't believe he needs to do anything about Civil Rights or a UN representative that doesn't believe that the UN should exist. They drive out the people who are doing their jobs and then complain that government doesn't work.Ya, Bush appointed someone with zero experience.

Condi said it all, enough said on the issue.
AS for families of the slain, I can't imagine if Bush feels anything towards the families of the 3,000+ killed on 9/11. Imagine the comfort the 9/11 commission must have given them (sarcasm of course).
