At least three places in the US constitution prevent the federal govt from mandating ANY good or service. It further prevents the federal govt from issuing a fine or punishment for not using their good or service. This should be a very simple decision for the SCOTUS. For those of you who claim odumbass is the most "brilliant" person to ever hold the office of POTUS.....what can I say? You are as incompetent and stupid as he is.

bonehead this passed both legislative bodies and was signed by the president. Everyone had their say and no one got what they wanted, but more people are covered, insurance companies can't decriminate.

The mandate was part of a republican plan to make sure people take responsibility for paying for thier own healt insurance - otherwise we all pay for it since in decent world nobody is left to die on the street. If found unconstitutional it will be because of these activist corporate right wing justices. And in no way should Thomas participate since his family income is derived from his wife's lobbying against it.

Bonehead? Every head is constructed of bone however the quality of one's head can often be determined by its placement. Set squarely on the shoulders is good. Stuck up your butt is bad. You are the latter.

The act was shoved down our throats with little debate and passed by a majority of Democrats and, lest your stuck head can't remember, this brought on the wrath of the American voter who kicked most of them out in the fall of that year. The American voter prefers democracy over totalitarianism. They find lying socialist to be repugnant.

If and when it becomes declared unconstitutional in spite of King Obama's leftist court appointees - especially the past Solicitor General who expressed glee at the acts passage - we can all thank God that freedom still rings in the face of an all-out attack by socialists.

It seems that some of us are more "equal" than others when it comes to rights and/or benefits.
