This is a huge case - it could fundamentally alter our Republic more than any case in a generation if the Court overturns campaign restrictions on corporations. I believe our Republic could well be lost if this highly politicized court overturns those restrictions. Since the conservative/corporate/wealthy faction of our country is discredited and out of power after W's disastrous 8 years, I think they are pushing the Supreme Court into action here to put them back in power with limitless corporate money. How the Right can claim to be against "activist judges" and not see their handmaidens Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Alito as the worst possible examples of improper judicial activism shows how the Right speaks only spin, manipulation and propaganda. These are very challenging days for good-hearted, sober-minded people who truly wish the best for the country. I hope such good people are ready to join a widespread grassroots movement to amend the Constitution to authorize tough restraints on corporate power - it appears we will need it or we will lose our nation.
