Your probably way too young to know how things worked before government intrusion. The reason, you dolt, that insurance companies charge what they charge has to do with what the government regulates through Medicare & Medicaid. Before these wonderful government monstrosities people did just pay for their doctor care but, some real modern thinking liberal got together and said hey you know what we can siphon off a lot of that money for ourselves if we create these programs. This is what for profit health insurance companies do to health and the economy.
From a DOCTOR getting care for himself.
MRI through his group policy:
10 week wait
$1800 billed to his insurance company
MRI if he paid for it out of pocket:
Health insurance companies, banksters in disguise, make getting paid hell for the MRI providers. They cost more in delays, lost paperwork, denials and other bureaucratic garbage so they are charged more.
This is what love of money does to your health and pocketbook.
Single payer or, at least, the public option is the only way to go in a civilized country.
We can't have regular everyday people paying their doctor bills lets regulate this through the employee and they will think it is free. Low and behold the moronic people fell hook-line and sinker for this through legilation from Ted Kennedy called the HMO!!!!!!!!! Learn something before you want to comment.
