May 9, 2011 Full story: WTOV9 65

Well, thank Allah that Obama won't talk to CEO's -- because he "knows what they'll tell him."

Yesirree, he only talks to corrupt union thugs, felons, terrorists, racists, radicals, marxists, communists, lobbyists, muslims, and every other corrupt crony who pays him off.

Surprisingly, he doesn't talk to fire hydrants....even after all the pottie breaks he's taken over them as a community organizer...marching through the streets of his Chicago ghettos with his ACORN poster on a stick....while legislating millions in corrupt payoffs for his despicably corrupt democRAT cronies.

Obama and Grove Parc Plaza, in 2 consecutive posts....

It's good they are facing the Senate Finance Committee. Congress would just apologize and blame Obama, just like the teabagger in the first post.

So the CEOs get to talk to their employees? Why is this news. The politicians will do whatever the boss tells them to, or they will be replaced.

Maybe this time the Oil guys will tell the inquisitors how much profit that they make off of a gallon of gasoline and how much profit the government makes off of the same gallon.

Oil company.....$.07-$.09
Guvment.........$36

And big oil has to find it, get it out of the ground, refine it snd ship it to you.

And big guvment only has to count the untold billions that we suckers have to pay them....for doing absolutely nothing.

It's always funny to watch the stupidity of Dems trying to bash Oil Companies for supplying the Life Blood of our economy.

If you think this little charade will change anything you're dreaming! The rethugs will defend the oil companies, the Dems will cave and things will go on unchanged. They will all continue to serve their corporate masters. When it comes to corporate welfare there is not a dime's worth of difference between the parties!

You know what I'm sick to death going to the gas pump and the supermarket and seeing the prices I and everyone else has to pay under this adminstration. I look back and see that I only paid $1.87 back in 2007 and now I'm spending $3.87 for gas now. It is Obama fault that I'm paying out of my ass for everything you stupid ass wipe. All of this could be avoided if Obama would pump for oil here oh but the liberals that don't want to hurt the animals and the fish can't have that, and Obama does not want to offend them. Please what is it going to take to make people like you to see the light. Man you all bitched and complain when gas was a $1.87 but now that it is $3.87 you have to protect the biggest loser of them all Obama. When President Bush was in office my life was much better off, and if you try and say that I'am full of shit then your head is firmly up your ass. Because under Obama my life and everyone elses sucks, and that is a fact!!!!

Stephen Power and Laura Meckler

It’s not every day that the White House takes off after a member of Congress. Then again, it’s not every day that a member of Congress apologizes to an oil company responsible for a massive environmental and economic disaster.

On Thursday, Rep. Joe Barton of Texas, a senior House Republican, apologized to oil giant BP on behalf of the U.S. government, saying the company had been the victim of a “shakedown” engineered by the White House. He was referring to the $20 billion that BP agreed on Wednesday to put into a compensation fund for victims of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, following hours of negotiations between BP and the White House. Mr. Barton, speaking at a hearing of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where BP CEO Tony Hayward was testifying, said the agreement set a “terrible precedent” and that he was “ashamed of what happened in the White House.’

Looking at Mr. Hayward, he added:“I apologize. I do not want to live in a country where any time a citizen or a corporation does something that is legitimately wrong is subject to some sort of political pressure that is—again, in my words—amounts to a shakedown. So, I apologize.” OUCH!blogs.wsj.com/washwire/20 10/06/17/lawmaker-apologizes-t o...- Cached

Poor wing-nut. You got what you asked for Republican de-regulation and free markets, now you whine. Gasoline prices are skyrocketing — and so are oil company profits.

Exxon Mobil Corp. earned nearly $11 billion in the first three months of the year, a rollicking 69% increase over its performance for the same period last year. That's on sales of $114 billion.

It's the same story for the other big oil companies. Royal Dutch Shell turned a profit of $6.3 billion in the first quarter, and BP — despite lingering costs from the Gulf Coast oil spill — made $7.1 billion.

What they aren't making is fuel, at least not in normal quantities. And that's a key factor in their reinvigorated financial performance.

Despite increasing demand, refiners are producing less gasoline and diesel in the U.S. than usual for this time of year. They're also exporting more to foreign countries.

Add rising oil prices, and you get the kind of sticker shock at the gas pump that some analysts say could challenge 2008's all-time highs — with regular gas already averaging about $3.88 a gallon in the U.S. and $4.22 in California, more than a month before the summer driving season kicks in. americanpowerblog.blogspot.com/2011/04/oil-co... ...- Cached. Those poor Oil companies, what they need is a nice big republican tax cut.

Republicans in Congress will have their tongues buried all the way up the oil executives' asses ... just like they always do.

Democrats in Congress will cave in to whatever the oil executives demand ... just like they always do.
