Obama: It we don't pay the doctors and hospitals, maybe we can still do the death panel thingy, and blame the old folks deaths on the doctors.

My doctor gave me 6 months to live, but I couldn't pay the bill, so he gave me another 6.

I actually received a notification from my insurance carrier informing me that I am overdue for a mammogram. The last one was in June of 2010. It was not ordered by my doctor, probably as per new recommendations set down through Obamacare. I am in generally good health, rarely have so much as a cold and usually see my doctor at six month intervals.

I am five years away from Medicare eligibility but am paying handsomely for a "cadillac" health care plan. Should my insurance company NOT pay for a mammogram, I also am fortunate to have sufficient funds to pay for it myself. There is no financial reason why my doctor did not order a mammogram, so why did I receive a reminder from BC/BS?

Perhaps skipping important tests for people my age will thin out the population of elderly. In response to Le Jimbo, perhaps the "death panels" are not so much a group of bureaucrats sitting like Roman emperors gesturing with their thumbs, life or death, as they are intentional omissions of routine procedures in the hope that when problems are discovered, they will be intentionally irreversable.

The left has been bidding their time waiting for the baby boomers,(the largest actual voting body) to die out with or without the help from internal agencies or a created shortage of doctors accepting medicare or medicade patience. After the baby boomers those with common sense will be in the minority. Just look at the occupy crowd..........lemmings walking the streets going ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ommmmmmmmmmmm

It's criminal and obscene, not to mention ENTIRELY the fault of reTHUGlican "lawmakers," that these cuts are going to endanger the health of elderly Americans.

They won't cut "Defense" or raise revenues by letting Bush's tax breaks for the wealthy expire, so here we are.

The ReTHUGlican Potty is the Party of Treason.

Hilariously stupid, wrong, and dishonest.

In fact the baby boomers are far more likely to be liberals and be pro-medicare than many other elements of the voting public, including the young who have nothing to gain or lose in regard to Medicare cutbacks at present. And given that Boomers increasingly NEED Medicare, why would they vote against their OWN interests?

Again, you prove yourself stupid, partisan, and pointless.

Nothing to do with Obama. He didn't push for the bankruptcy of the federal government, then create an idiot "compromise" which mandated across-the-board cuts including cuts to Medicare.

That was Congress. Dope. I proved you a liar yet again.

"Unless Congress acts before Jan. 1, doctors face a 27 percent cut in their fees for treating Medicare patients. That could undermine health care for millions of elderly and disabled beneficiaries."

I guess if the Government eliminates the doctors by reducing their fees, the Government effectvely eliminates the health care. So, I suppose you're correct. There is no government-run health care in this country.

Now, why is this a good thing?

It's not the republicans pushing the cuts, it's those treasonous socialist democrats.

On Tuesday, Democrats on the 12-member budget committee presented Republicans with a sweeping proposal that includes hundreds of billions of dollars in Medicare cuts and more than $1 trillion in new tax hikes, aides told The Hill. The plan was backed by a majority of the panel's Democrats, the aides said.

Although details remain vague, Reuters reported on Wednesday that the Democrats' plan includes about $400 billion in Medicare reductions, split roughly between senior benefit cuts and reductions in payments to healthcare providers.
