More carry-on luggage costing TSA millions a year

Choosing to carry your luggage onto a plane instead of checking it with an airline might save you a few bucks at the ticket counter but it's costing taxpayers about a quarter-billion dollars a year.

How about we just save a few billion dollars and just do some good old fashioned profiling. That way, we could again feel free in our person and property from unreasonable searches and seizures without probable cause and/or a search warrant.

Landrieu had it right...the airlines should make up some of this cost because they're charging us for checked baggage. Of course we're not going to check it as long as the size is allowable for carryon. And Napolitano didn't even answer her question in that regard...she'd rather make us pay another $5 for in security fees.

Yet TSA does about a half-a$$ed job anyway. Canada is much more thorough in checking your carryon luggage. Maybe we should have our TSA employees trained and retrained in Canada.

A better solution would be to scrap the Patriot Act, disband Homeland Security and TSA altogether.

Illegals from dozens of countries are pouring across our Southern borders, TSA isn't stopping any terrorists and Nappy is as effective in her present position as she was as governor of Arizona. That being totally ineffective.

Airport security should be the responsibility of the airlines not the federal government. Pres. Bush didn't put a lot of thought into this when he created this mess. Now, reports are surfacing that TSA agents are stealing from our luggage. I think the airlines would be more in tune with serving their own customers.
