The reason there is no Gulf oil drilling is that George Soros runs the show. He had a reported $1,000,000,000. One Billion $ invested in the Brazilian government oil company. This was at the time of the Gulf spill. His investment by now is close to a reported $2 billion.
Remember he is the money man behind Obama.
Does it now make sense to you as to why there is no domestic oil production neither in the Gulf or elsewhere?
