The shutdown cost the country a minimum
$30 billion.

Boehner could have avoided the whole thing by
allowing the House to take a vote on the
Continuing Resolution, but he wouldn't do it.

The Republicans owe the country $30 billion.

Pay up or shut up!

Piece of cake. Increase the debt ceiling $60 Billion, give federal employees for an extra paid day for their 'stress' of being paid for not working, and we'll call it even.

Then the dems can pay for the over 6 TRILLION Obama racked up with his policies. Now pay up.

But back to the "30 BILLION" figure. Probably a made-up number----but here is the crux of the matter. If you had a spouse that was running up a credit card debt of $25,000.00 a month and you reached an agreement to not use the credit cards for a while, then you would be costing the economy $25,000.00 a month.

And it is credit that is being spent-----not a debit.

The Republicans had and have legitimate concerns about Obamacare.
A delay would have satisfied all parties. NOW, with Obamacare in shambles, it is clear that the Republicans were correct all along.

...AGAIN...sounds like he is pushing the REPUBLICAN ideas (the individual mandate) and the TEA party desire (smaller government). You should be thanking Obama.
Geeeeez.
The individual mandate was a Republican idea? Romney, perhaps.
If it is Romney, then he is not representative of most Republicans.

That was one downside of the Romney candidacy; ie it Neutralized the Obamacare issue in the campaign.

Obamacare DOES NOT make for smaller government.:-)

This is a REAL BIG Problem.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505269_162-576088...

"CBS News has uncovered a serious pricing problem with HealthCare.gov . It stems from the Obama administration's efforts to improve its health care website. A new online feature can dramatically underestimate the cost of insurance."

"The administration announced it would provide a new 'shop and browse' feature Sunday, but it's not giving consumers the real picture. In some cases, people could end up paying double of what they see on the website, CBS News' Jan Crawford reported Wednesday on 'CBS This Morning'."

And people are saying that Obamacare could not be delayed. The FASCIST BS had to be rushed thru.

Well, it looks like Cruz was right all along.

I believe Mitt (47 percenter) Romney said during his campaign that he would repeal Obamacare.

How did that work for him?

Romney lost MAINLY because the Corporate Fascist MSM covered up Obama's bungling of Hurricane Sandy.

And Obama NEVER made Obamacare the issue, now we know why, but it was about Romney's wealth, his Mormon religion, what Todd Atkins said, etc.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/michael-moore-t...

“You, Mother Nature, with all your horrific damage, death and destruction you caused last week, you became, ironically, the undoing of a Party that didn’t believe in you or your climate changing powers,” Moore wrote, referring to Hurricane Sandy that hit the East Coast before the election.

Moore also thanked Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey for being cordial with Obama during his visit.

“Thank you Governor Christie for your new bromance with Obama,” he wrote.“You know, you really didn’t have to!”
