When are the democrats going to get it together?
Why to they have this "stand alone" mentality?
They should adopt the Republican mantra-
"United We stand-Divided We Fall"...
This dissention is ludicrous!!!
Those Dem's need to stop being lame ducks and GET IT TOGETHER!!!!

this will make them look good when reelection time comes around, they can pretend to be moderate and get reelected, then go right back to being typical dems.

Exactly right. They know that 2010 is the end of the dems control in congress.

Is this story trying to imply some Democrats actually listen to their constitutants instead of blindly following Reid/Pulosi/Soros marching orders ?????

Me thinks doubtfully in the end ... see if they do vote aye or nay.

Most all reasonable men in congress are choking on the budget....The democratic budget chairman Conrad!is trying to make it somewhat reasonable, which it can never really be !..However Pelosi and Reid ,have a "TRICK" parliamentary procedure to use,and it will pass!..overiding any reasonable attempt to modify it..the beginning of the USA going broke!!

The only hope we have to stop Obama is the Democrats who will vote their conscience over party dictates. Pray they have the will and the courage to do so.

Yes, the smarter Dems are realizing that Obama is on the 4 year plan while they are on the 2 year plan with 2010 coming sooner than they would like given the disastrous Obomination.

Conservative Democrats already jumped off Obama's suicide band wagon.

Friendly fire: NYT hits Obama

Frank Rich, Thomas Friedman and Maureen Dowd went after Obama this weekend in an unprecedented way.

Sunday, March 22, 2009

( POLITICO.com )The leading liberal voices of the New York Times editorial pages all criticized—and, in some cases, clobbered—President Obama on Sunday for his handling of the economy and national security.

It's not unusual for Barack Obama to take a little friendly fire from the Times. But it's perhaps unprecedented for him to get hit on the same day by columnists Frank Rich, Thomas Friedman and Maureen Dowd—and in the paper's lead editorial.

Their critique punctuated a weekend that started with a widely circulated blog post by Paul Krugman that said the president’s yet to be announced bank rescue plan would almost certainly fail.

The sentiment, coming just two months after the president was sworn in, reflects elite opinion in the Washington-New York corridor that Obama is increasingly overwhelmed, and not fully appreciative of the building tsunami of populist outrage.

Another dem that see's problems with Obomination:

President Obama's clumsy, smirky staff is sinking him

Yes, free the president from his flacks, fixers and goons -- his posse of smirky smart alecks and provincial rubes, who were shrewd enough to beat the slow, pompous Clintons in the mano-a-mano primaries but who seem like dazed lost lambs in the brave new world of federal legislation and global statesmanship.

Heads should be rolling at the White House for the embarrassing series of flubs that have overshadowed President Obama's first seven weeks in office and given the scattered, demoralized Republicans a huge boost toward regrouping and resurrection.(Michelle, please use those fabulous toned arms to butt some heads!)

First it was that chaotic pig rut of a stimulus package, which let House Democrats throw a thousand crazy kitchen sinks into what should have been a focused blueprint for economic recovery.

Then it was the stunt of unnerving Wall Street by sending out a shrill duo of slick geeks (Timothy Geithner and Peter Orszag) as the administration's weirdly adolescent spokesmen on economics.
Who could ever have confidence in that sorry pair?

And then there was the fiasco of the ham-handed White House reception for British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, which was evidently lacking the most basic elements of ceremony and protocol.
Don't they read the "Iliad" anymore in the Ivy League? Check that out for the all-important ritual of gift giving, which has cemented alliances around the world for 5,000 years.

...Though every novice administration makes blunders and bloopers, its modus operandi should not be a conspiratorial reflex cynicism.

Case in point:
The orchestrated attack on radio host Rush Limbaugh, which has made the White House look like an oafish bunch of drunken frat boys.

I returned to find the Limbaugh affair in full flower.
Has the administration gone mad?

This entire fracas was set off by the president himself, who lowered his office by targeting a private citizen by name.
Limbaugh had every right to counterattack, which he did with gusto.

Why have so many Democrats abandoned the hallowed principle of free speech?...

Democrat Warren Buffett warns America of 'onslaught of inflation'

March 2, 2009

The multibillion-dollar bailouts handed out by the US Government will bring on an “onslaught of inflation”, Warren Buffett, the legendary investor, said in his keenly awaited annual letter to shareholders.

Mr Buffett, whose Berkshire Hathaway company last year reported only the second year of negative returns in its 44-year history, predicted that the economy would remain a shambles this year and “probably well beyond”.

President Obama signed off a $787 billion (£550 billion) stimulus package to revive America's economy this month. The President has also said that he expects to spend more than the $700 billion allocated to bail out the ailing banking sector.

“Economic medicine that was previously meted out by the cupful has recently been dispensed by the barrel,” Mr Buffett said.“These once unthinkable dosages will almost certainly bring on unwelcome after-effects. Their precise nature is anyone's guess, though one likely consequence is an onslaught of inflation.”
