Bizarre, scary, criminal?

It's sad to hear that DOJ people were crooked and took steps to hide exculpatory evidence.

The ex-senator may or may not have been guilty but seems now we'll never really know.

Holder scores points for having the integrity to call this out and send a clear message going forward.

The prosecutorial misconduct was so blatant that it would call into question whether it was intentional if one disregardes the legal and constitutional ineptness of the Bush administration.

It's annoying how some people are pissed off that this didn't get dropped earlier, because it ended up costing Stevens his Senate seat. HE'S STILL A FRICKIN CRIMINAL FOR CRIPES SAKE. HE SHOULD BE IN JAIL, NOT THE SENATE.

The Bush administration DOJ dealt him a get-out-of-jail card.

Governor Sarah Palin is right to demand the resignation of the Democrat Senator of Alaska Mark Begich who was wrongfully elected after the intentional liberal lawyers' false accusation of Ted Stevens few days before the elections.
Sarah Palin as a great American and leader of Alaska demands new elections between Ted Stevens and the liberal Senator Mark Begich who took advantage of the evil besmirching of Ted Stevens.
Former Senator Ted Stevens is clearly a victim of politicized evil Justice Department who was doing everything to destroy the Republican Senator and transfer more power to the Democrats. The American people should be disgusted with the efforts of the fascistic media of the anarchist Bolshevik George Soros and his lying and deceiving media that is using false accusations of GOP politicians in their effort to destroy them and open the way to Democratic political power. Great American patriotic conservative politicians private life is the new target of the anti-American Marxist and pro-radical islamic media led by the evil and dark reporters of The New York Times and its ACLU lawyers, MSNBC, ABC, CNN that are aiming at destroying the true character of the conservative politicians like Ted Stevens, Sarah Palin and Governor Bobby Jindal with lies and deceit and change the outcome of the elections for the incompetent liberal Democrat.

Stevens had a rough year, but he needs to wipe himself off and start fresh. Griping gets you nowhere.

Stevens is pure corruption. He was convicted.

Still, the prosecution withheld some info - therefore he should be retried.

But an 84 year old corrupt loser is not worth trying.

President Obama greeted the king of Saudi Arabia with a full bow from the waist yesterday, a move one commentator described as a violation of protocol and "most unbecoming a president of the United States."

That does presumes he has one to get back. Just because he was not convicted does not mean he is innocent. Bad conduct on the part of the prosecution will not wash out bad conduct on the part of Stevens. If you are going to say he has a reputation to get back you need to explain how he did not lie in his disclosures and how the improper gifts of his home construction were proper.

What I do hate to see is that we don't have any details as to why and who made the omissions in the case. Information was intentionally left out which by law had to be furnished to the defense. Was that the FBI action alone, the prosecutors office acting alone or some kind of collusion.

I find the lack of integrity in a prosecution which potentially could take ones liberty more egregious than the lack of integrity by a politician accepting gifts.

Kudo's to the judge for standing up.

Our Judicial system couldn't get out of their own way under the previous Admin. It doesn't surprise me that they screwed this up also.

We've had folks at Guantanomo who's cases we couldn't bring forward because of all the legal issues the Bush admin knew they created, that would sabotage the case when brought in front of a Judge.

This Stevens guy is a much a crook as Blago....just smarter.
