You are out of your mind. The Justice Department under George W. Bush screwed this one up and it's Obama's Justice Department that is cleaning up the mess. It's Obama's Justice Department that is seeking to REVERSE the conviction. Now say "thank you" to the president and apologize for maligning him in a public post.

Wether he is guilty or not, that is something we all just speculate. But as an Alaskan I know that having a little coffee bitch that Alaska has in there now means that Pelosi can do whatever she wants. All these people that think ANWR shouldnt go through, I would like to see you live in the ANWR for a month or two and you would figure out that there is nothing there. The animals even think its to cold. So not allowing drilling only makes us all the more oil dependant on other countries. Ted had senough power that he could have helped America use our own oil. And realistically more animals would have probably lived in the area because just like the pipe line our civility makes life easier on the animals in more ways than one. We love our wildlife and love our land but just like you use natural rescources to run your state, we do the same. How about we take away your natural rescources and see how your state survives. Ted Stevens helped make Alaska a great state and though hes probably done some questionable things in government, what polition doesn't. Sorry to interrupt your blogs but Ted got screwed by the government and it's as wrong as if it had happened to you or me.

But why was the evidence withheld? Did the prosecutors not know that they were putting their case in jeopardy? Of course they did. Which raises the question as to why they would sabotage or imperil their case. So to think that it was deliberate is not a sign that a tin foil hat is being worn, but more a case of critical thinking and weighing all possibilities.

The American people should be disgusted with the efforts of the fascistic media of the anarchist Bolshevik George Soros and his lying and deceiving media led by NYT that is using false accusations of GOP politicians in their effort to destroy them and open the way to losers of the Democratic political power.
Great American patriotic conservative politicians private life destruction is the new target of the anti-American Marxist and pro-radical Islamic media led by the evil and brutal reporters of The New York Times and its ACLU lawyers, MSNBC, ABC, CNN that are aiming at destroying the true character of the conservative politicians like Ted Stevens, Sarah Palin and Jindle with lies and deceit in their effort to change the outcome of the elections for the incompetent liberal Democrats.
It is the true Stalinst KGB character of the Democratic party under Pelosi, George Soros and the African Islamic Obama.

So Jen you obviously didnt read the article nor did you do any amount of research on this did you. Like the yes we can drama.. You dont know what the hell your talking about. This is what the article said about how this happened in the first place.

"The trial was beset by government missteps, which continued even after the guilty verdict was read. The trial judge grew so infuriated he took the unusual step of holding the Justice Department in contempt.

In court filings, the Justice Department admitted it never turned over notes from an interview with the oil contractor, who estimated the value of the renovation work as far less than he testified at trial."

Hmm funny I dont see the injustice dep mentioned doing any fact finding here at all.

YOU obviously didn't read the entire article or you would have seen this part:

"The Justice Department is seeking to have the indictment against Stevens dismissed. If U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan agrees, Stevens' conviction would be vacated"

She is absolutely right. The DOJ under Bush is the one that convicted him. You know, the same one where prosecutors where illegally fired for not supporting Bush! The DOJ under Obama got the indictment dismissed. Stevens was still guilty but I don't agree with any prosecutor engaging in misconduct to ensure a conviction so they shouldn't get another shot at Stevens. I just thought it was amusing to point out Choking Hippies has no clue what he is talking about yet tried correcting someone else! Not that I'd expect someone believes that extreme, far-right rhetoric he was agreeing with to be very intelligent!

The conviction of Ted Stevens happened under the Bush administration. What part of that are you not getting?

The feds now seeking to reverse that conviction based on the screw ups of the past administration's handling of the case are under the Obama administration.

Bush -- prior to 1/20/09

Obama -- after 1/20/09

Now, apologize for calling me a putz.

You seem delusional. Are there any other conspiracy theories you believe in?
You are wrong. Obama did not tell the American people that he is native and son of Islamic family of Odinga Obama of the Kenyan Luo tribe which was involved in killing hundreds of Christians in 2008 but he told it all to the Islamic world through the al Arabia TV network after he took control of the White House.
Obama did not tell the American people that he studied in Islamic Madrassas in Kenya and Indonesia but he told it all to the Islamic world through the al Arabia TV network after he started his presidency.
Obama wanted the American people to think that he is Christian before the elections but now he treats the Islamic terrorists of Gitmo, Hamas of Gaza and the Iranian regime as if they are the most sacred people in the world, he loves the Islamic Shariya laws while nobody saw him in church since 11/2008.
