We need politicians who stand up for America. Whether you like her politics or not, she does stand up for America. Her message resonates with people such as my wife and me who grew up poor but were taught to work for what we would achieve in our lives. We were taught to rely on our own efforts and not rely on government hand-outs. Our parents taught us (even though they were Democrats) that we were to help the government--not the other way around. Government was to listen to the people and take direction from the people. The people were not to be directed by the government. Sarah Palin embodies those principles taught by our Democratic parents. President Obama has not shown me that he is a Democrat but far further left than that where the government is all powerful without the vote of the people. Ignore what the people want and tell them what they need seems to be his motto. We'll see in November if a majority of the people realize what is happening and vote to take our country back.

Agree. These Obama "Apology Tours" show he's for Rest of World first.

I can certainly believe that. She is one of the sick ones whose deficiencies show in every post.

But I can't imagine anybody would pay her for such a poor effort. There is no way on earth anybody could take her seriously.

Eggs and Issues:(D) Bright's Comments about Pelosi Draw Laughter

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

U.S. Congressman Bobby Bright, the first-term Democrat and former mayor of Montgomery, was heard having a little fun at U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's expense during his recent participation in the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce's Eggs and Issues.

Bright, who is facing a battle against Montgomery City Councilwoman Martha Roby this fall, joked that Pelosi might lose her own election, decide not to run for the speaker’s job or otherwise not be available.

He suggested, jokingly he insisted to his audience, that Pelosi could fall ill and die in coming months. That remark drew laughter from the crowd.

Though he has a reputation as the second most independent member of Congress, he has been routinely blasted for voting for Pelosi to be speaker.

Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on all 10 of the important issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports.

The GOP has consistently been trusted on most issues for months now, but in July they held the lead on only nine of the key issues.

Republicans lead Democrats 47% to 39% on the economy, which remains the most important issue to voters. Those numbers are nearly identical to those found in June. Republicans have held the advantage on the economy since May of last year.

But for the first time in months, Republicans now hold a slight edge on the issues of government ethics and corruption, 40% to 38%. Voters have been mostly undecided for the past several months on which party to trust more on this issue, but Democrats have held small leads since February. Still, more than one-in-five voters (22%) are still not sure which party to trust more on ethics issues.

Government ethics and corruption have been second only to the economy in terms of importance to voters over the past year.

You are a misguided fellow. Sarah Palin doesn't stand up for anybody but Sarah Palin, not even for her own family.

When Sarah'smother-in-law, a highly respected member of the community and experienced manager, ran for Mayor, Sarah refused to endorse her. It didn't benefit Sarah in any way she could see, so she turned on her husband's mother.

Same thing with the Senate and Reid.

They'll usher Obama's policies through.

NO to ALL democrats, reduce their numbers and REBALANCE American

"Jon Stewart senses hypocrisy from Sarah Palin, rogue former Governor of Alaska
"• August 25th, 2010 2:00 pm ET

Sarah Palin: Chattin' and roguein' and quittin' and wrasslin'.

"Jon Stewart is at his absolute best when he's tearing politicians to shreds, and one of our favorite Stewart-targets here at Comedy Examiner HQ is Sarah Palin, a woman so stupid that she believed that quitting her job was the best way to serve the people of her state.

Recently, Stewart took on the former Governor for some alleged hypocrisy in Palin's dealings with the Dr. Laura scandal.

There's nothing more satisfying on The Daily Show than their gleeful, merciless attacks on Sarah Palin.

It's their numerous smackdowns of former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin that really keep us entertained. And so we thank you, The Daily Show, for your continued efforts in assisting in Sarah Palin's endlessly stupid actions.

Oh, Sarah Palin, we hope you never change!"
