Casey endorses same-sex marriage, an issue of 'conscience'

Apr 1, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: KCRA-TV Sacramento

Sen. Bob Casey, a socially conservative Democrat and Pennsylvania's senior senator, announced his support for same-sex marriage Monday saying he had been influenced in part by "letters written to me by LGBT Pennsylvanians and their families." "After much deliberation and after reviewing the legal, public policy, and civil rights questions ... (more)

I stand by what I said. His supposed "change of hear" is absolutely of no help to us now and his position now is irrelevant. Perhaps if e had had the courage to take a stand earlier, it would have elped us. But not now.
Just like Bill Clinton's "change of heart". THE BASTARD ! THANK GOD he was impeached and now has that asterisk next to his name in EVERY history book printed, and EVERY history book that will EVER be printed !

Homosexuals should be ashamed of their perversion and ask God to remove their evil desires. God will if He is asked through His Son Jesus. Marriage is between a man and a woman for the purpose of having children. Period.

Rep. Matt Salmon (R-AZ) told KTVK-TV that he does not support gay marriage despite having a gay son.

Said Salmon: "I don't support gay marriage. My son and I have had a lot of dialogue about it. I will say this: you know, my son is by far one of the most important people in my life. I love him more than I can say."

He added: "My view is while I don't believe we should be vitriolic and try to enact harmful policies, by the same token, I'm just not there as far as believing in my heart that we should change 2,000 years of social policy in favor of a redefinition of the family."

While this is a bit like Wanda Sykes coming out after the Prop. 8 vote. It still makes it harder for those trying to keep the world in a holding pattern of being in an idealized (and false) version of 1950's, to keep the world from progressing on civil rights for all the people.

Oooo, it's soooooo much better when anti-gay polititions hold fast to their anti-marriage beliefs!

Why aren't you whining about all of the Republicans "flip-flopping"?

I guess they were just "learning something"?

I think most of us sane folks are just glad that so many closeted public figures are "coming out" for equality.

Wrong! This President was reelected as a result of a society full of ignorance and the nanny mentality. It had very little to do with his 'job performance' whatever performance that may have been. He's just about as bad as Carter, and Carter was just slightly before my time. This man is just another zionist jew puppet. Just like the other ones.

Atually the moron is technically correct on this one.

When the House voted to approve the articles of impeachment, Clinton WAS technically impeached. The Senate failed to convict him an remove him from office.

Hey D*mb *ss ever wonder why the republican party is imploding.. Take a look in the mirror.. Yea that is right..

And by the way President Clinton was not impeached your side loses because little idiots like not wanting to face reality..

Oh by the way the articles of impeachment only means that former President Clinton could be tried. Not that he was impeached.. Even technically, he was never impeached. There is a process for impeachment. But that is still a far cry from being impeached.

Other wise former President Nixon(d) would not have been allowed to resign as he did in 1974.
