Dems see hope for regaining Alaska Senate seat

Oct 31, 2010 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: The Boston Globe

Democrats believe they can secure their first all-Democratic Senate delegation from Alaska in more than 40 years, with their once-overlooked nominee making a late charge and claiming the momentum is in his favor in a heated three-way contest.

You know, I thought I'd never see these words typed from me off my keyboard, but here goes:

Thank You Palin, for screwing the write in campaign for Lisa Murkosksi. As Miller's campaign has imploded, you have called your fellow mama grizzlies to action and encouraged people to sign up for the list of people running as write-in candidates for the Alaska Senate Seat. With Joe Miller now a distant 3rd in the latest polls, Palin's attempts to screw Morkuwski's write-in campaign will help elect Democrat Scott McAdams as Alaska's new Senator.

Demoncrats are either in denial or stupid. The rise of the Tea Party on Tuesday will shock this nation. Demoncrats will lose in Deleware, Alaska, West Virginia, California, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Ohio. Forget the polls this time. The Tea Party will seize this day!

The real shock will happen months from now to those who fail to vote Tuesday, when they realize that their vote could've prevented these inexperienced Tea Party candidate extremists from actually attempting to implement their crazy ideas!

Unlawfully handcuffing a Reporter (Miller's private security firm) who attempts to ask the candidate a question at a campaign event held at a public school!

Stomping on the head of an opposition group member trying to display a sign at a Rand Paul Rally!

Running away from the media, each and every time Angle is approached by a reporter not from the Fox Entertainment and Fear Channel!

Making up tales about Arizonans getting beheaded by Mexican drug mules in the desert, to push for a law that would result in a huge windfall for the Private Prison Industry, from detainees, when you are the Governor of Arizona and have direct ties to these Private Prison firms!!!

The Corporate financed tea Party is seizing the day alright! Should they win on Tuesday, they'll be seizing our democracy while selling our country out to their corporate masters. Welcome to the United Incorporated States of America! A land of the people, by the coporation, and for the corporation.

The real problem was the loser in the Republican primary. So much venom from someone who is above everyone else. The tea party person should have won this easily. If the Republican party continues this, I will never vote for them again. Probably 3rd party for the rest of my life. Boy the repubs have a awakening in two years after this election if they screw us over again. This slut is a disgrace. There is nothing worse then people who lose and then cry after they are the ones who set up the rules. Keep screwing us over. and to those who worry about the tea party being controlled, so am I. If that happens. But then you will know that these jackals work for world influence people. and maybe you will stop thinking in monolithic party terms. No freedom has been restored since progressives took over. We even lost more rights. I am watching the corrupted side of Fox news right now convincing us about the terrorist issues this week end. The architects of fear have nearly destroyed America. And most of us have bought into it.

The Republican Party has one last chance to right many of the wrongs that both they and the Democrats are responsible for. I heard on the news this morning that the Republicans have gradually stopped their financial support for Miller, despite assurances of their support. In addition, they allowed Murkowski to retain her seat on committee in spite of her loss in the primary. It appears that they have been working with her against Miller behind the scenes.

Add to this the cell phone recording by TV reporters plotting, whether facetiously or not, to "expose" a Miller follower as a sex offender, and planning to send out a "tweet" from a rally saying that Miller was "punched," and one wonders where the outrage is from the Republicans?

I am a registered Democrat because in my state, Independents and third party members cannot vote in the primaries. I was whole-heartedly behind the Republican slate, but I now see that they intend to marginalize tea party candidates, if they win, and apparently continue business as usual. If this is to be the case, then there is a definite need for the emergence of a third party. Both major parties will be under intense scrutiny, beginning in January.

If the Repub winner does not get that seat, then Dick Armey, Newt Gingrich and the rest can screw themselves. Maybe we are just being teased. I know it. It is a game. We are all laughing. the truth is, I do not the repub nominee. But I know the rino/neo con elected people. Come January they will be sworn in. Come spring we will see what they are. Come summer we will leave the repub party. Simple as that. That is their time frame. Several months. I will never contact a representative again to do the right thing. If they don't know it, then they don't represent you.

The list of crazy tealoon behavior is long but the most egregious for me is that candidates like Anngle will not answer legitimate questions on issues from legitimate networks. Does she not have the confidence? The intelligence? Something to hide?

Its odd.

Republicans Appear Poised to Win Big on Tuesday

Lead in generic ballot large enough to give Republicans solid majority control of U.S. House

October 31, 2010
by Frank Newport, Jeffrey M. Jones, and Lydia Saad

PRINCETON, NJ -- The final USA Today/Gallup measure of Americans' voting intentions for Congress shows Republicans continuing to hold a substantial lead over Democrats among likely voters, a lead large enough to suggest that regardless of turnout, the Republicans will win more than the 40 seats needed to give them the majority in the U.S. House.

The results are from Gallup's Oct. 28-31 survey of 1,539 likely voters. It finds 52% to 55% of likely voters preferring the Republican candidate and 40% to 42% for the Democratic candidate on the national generic ballot -- depending on turnout assumptions.

Gallup's analysis of several indicators of voter turnout from the weekend poll suggests turnout will be slightly higher than in recent years, at 45%. This would give the Republicans a 55% to 40% lead on the generic ballot, with 5% undecided.

Like I've said since the day she was chosen by Richard Mellon Scaife to be McCain's #2, THANK YOU, Saracuda, for all you do to exemplify the fascist right wing extremism of the Fleaparty.

Your choice of Joe "Mountain Man" Miller is sinking beneath the waves like a dead seal.

And your legions of "Grizzly Madames" will have to find another more moderate candidate next time, or face the fact you're just what you've shown us- out of touch, and socially unacceptable.

Gallup poll points to GOP rout

By RICHARD E. COHEN
11/1/10

In a compelling sign that the Republican tide on Tuesday will produce a historic sweep in the House, the final pre-election poll by the Gallup Organization gave the GOP a 55 percent to 40 percent lead over Democrats among likely voters in its generic congressional ballot test.

The commanding 15-point advantage makes a Republican takeover “highly probable,” and could produce GOP gains “anywhere from 60 seats on up, with gains well beyond that possible,” according to the Gallup analysis released late Sunday.

Both parties will win support from more than 90 percent of their based voters, Gallup reported. The election outcome will be shaped by a huge GOP leaning among independents, who favor the Republican candidate by 59 percent to 31 percent, Gallup found.
