Democrats worked to smooth the impact of health-care legislation on working-class families yesterday as they pushed President Barack Obama's domestic priority toward a crucial Senate committee vote. Full Story

President Obama promised on the campaign trail that he would have the most transparent administration in history. As part of this commitment, he said that the public would have five days to look online and find out what was in the bills that came to his desk before he signed them. It was his first broken promise, and it's the promise that keeps on breaking. He has now signed 11 bills into law and gone, at best, 1 for 11 on his five-day posting promise. The Obama administration should deliver on the Web-enabled transparency he promised and post bills for five days before signing.

NOW DEM DO NOT WANT YOU TO READ THE BILL

You can bet that this bill will leave the door cracked open for the public option, which will be nothing more than a slower, phased-in single-payer, government-run health care system, once they get finished "squeezing" the insurance companies (as Obama and Pelosi like to say).

It was just a couple of weeks ago that the libs had the RINO Olympia Snowe going along with the idea of a government-appointed "panel" that would determine if the insurance companies were being fairly competitive in their pricing. And if the "panel" determined that the insurance companies weren't behaving fairly, then they would be penalized, thus putting them out of business and funneling more people into the government-run program.

And ABRA CADABRA!!! Obama would have the government-run health care so he can control everyone's lives.

His pals Chavez, Castro & Co. will be so proud of him.

The Democratic Party Is The Party Of The Rich
A persistent mantra of blacks is that the Republican Party is the “party of the rich.” In fact, while there
are some rich Republicans, most Republicans are average, hard working Americans from the middle
of America. The truly rich are Democrats who reside mainly in big cities on the east and west coasts.
Most notable are Billionaire Oprah Winfrey, Billionaire George Soros, Billionaire Warren Buffett,
Billionaire Bill Gates of Microsoft, Billionaire, Billionaire Peter Lewis of Progressive Insurance,
Billionaire Senator John Kerry, Millionaire Senator Ted Kennedy, Millionaire Senator Harry Reid,
Millionaire Representative Nancy Pelosi, Millionaire former President Bill Clinton, and Millionaire
President Barack Obama, as well as all of the millionaire Limousine Liberals in New York and

The Democratic Party Owes Blacks An Apology
By Frances Rice
As author Michael Scheuer stated, the Democratic Party is the party of the four S's: slavery,
secession, segregation and now socialism. Clearly, then, it is the Democratic Party that owes black
Americans an apology – not the Republican Party, nor the United States of America.
The time is long overdue for the Democratic Party to apologize for that party’s 150-year history of
racism and cease hiding behind the curtain of Congress, issuing unwarranted apologies on behalf of
America, while simultaneously using racial politics for partisan political gain. Only then can we finally
end the racial divisiveness that has torn our nation asunder.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Was A Republican
During the civil rights era of the 1960's, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. fought to stop Democrats from
denying civil rights to blacks. It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a
Republican as has been affirmed by his niece, Dr. Alveda C. King.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would not have joined the Democratic Party, the party of the Ku Klux Klan
and segregation.
Dr. King fought against Democrat Public Safety Commissioner Eugene "Bull" Connor in Birmingham
who let loose vicious dogs and turned skin-burning fire hoses on black civil rights demonstrators.
Democrat Georgia Governor Lester Maddox famously brandished ax handles to prevent blacks from
patronizing his restaurant. Democrat Alabama Governor George Wallace blocked the entrance of
two black students at the University of Alabama in 1963 and thundered, "Segregation now,
segregation tomorrow, segregation forever”. All of these racist Democrats remained Democrats until
the day they died. In fact, racist Democrats declared that they would rather vote for a “yellow dog”
than a Republican because the Republican Party was know as the party for blacks.

Republicans Do Not Disenfranchise Blacks
Every election cycle, Democrats falsely accuse Republicans of “disenfranchising“ blacks, citing the
2000 election, even though second recounts of the votes in Florida by the Miami Herald and a
consortium of major news organizations confirmed that President George W. Bush won the election.
Also, investigations by the U.S. Civil Rights Commission and the U.S. Justice Department’s Civil
Rights Division found that no blacks were denied the right to vote. If even one black person had been
denied the right to vote, that person’s name would have been blasted on the front page of every
newspaper in the nation. As for the “felon purge list,” the Miami Herald found that whites were twice
as likely to be incorrectly placed on the list as blacks.
Even though Republicans did not deny blacks the right to vote in 2000, Democrats continued to
tarnish the Republican Party with false accusations of voter suppression in 2004, 2006 and 2008.
These charges were made in spite of the fact that record numbers of blacks voted during those
elections. Also, it is pure demagoguery for Democrats to claim that requiring voters to present valid
identification is tantamount to voter suppression. On the contrary, such a requirement helps to
prevent the type of illegal activity conducted by unscrupulous voter registration groups, particularly
ACORN (now calling itself “Community Organization International Network –“COIN”), a group for
which President Obama was a legal advisor and that has been prosecuted by several states for voter
fraud.
The Democratic Party Is The Party Of Socialism
Just as Democrats built their economic power base on the backs of poor blacks during the time of
slavery, Democrats today have built their political power base on the backs of poor blacks. The
despicable election-year strategy of the Democrats is to keep blacks poor, angry and voting for
Democrats.
Democrats have been running black communities for the past 40+ years and turned those
communities into economic and social wastelands with their failed socialist policies. Yet, Democrats
have the gall to blame Republicans for the deplorable conditions caused by the Democrats.
Democrats also accuse Republicans of doing nothing to help poor blacks – a charge that resonates
with victim mongers.
What Have Republicans Done For Blacks Lately?
Since the beginning of the so-called War on Poverty, over $ 9 trillion has been spent on poverty
programs. According to the Washington Post, in one year alone under President George W. Bush,
over $500 billion was spent on over 80 poverty-related programs, with little movement in the poverty
needle. The problem with black poverty is not money – and it is not the Republican Party. Even
though blacks refuse to vote for Republicans to be leaders of their communities, Republicans still take
actions to help blacks at the state and federal levels.

Segregation - Democrats enacted the discriminatory Black Codes
and Jim Crow laws
Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every piece of
civil rights legislation from the 1860’s to the 1960's.
Democrats wanted to keep blacks in virtual slavery and deny blacks the promised “40
acres and a mule”.
After they took control of Congress in 1892, Democrats
passed the Repeal Act of 1894 that overturned civil
rights legislation passed by the Republicans, including
the Civil Rights Acts of 1866 and 1875. It took
Republicans nearly six decades to finally achieve
passage of civil rights legislation in the 1950’s and
1960’s.
It defies logic for Democrats today to claim that the racist Democrats suddenly joined
the Republican Party after Republicans finally won the civil rights battle against the
racist Democrats. In fact, the racist Democrats declared that they would rather vote
for a “yellow dog” than vote for a Republican, because the Republican Party was
known as the party for blacks.
The Republicans started the NAACP in 1909 on Abraham
Lincoln’s 100th birthday to counter the racist practices of the
Democrats. The first black American to head the NAACP
was Republican James Weldon Johnson who wrote the
lyrics to “Lift Every Voice and Sing”, the inspirational song
that is considered to be the Black National Anthem.
Few blacks know that Republicans also started the Historically
Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s).

Why Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican
By Frances Rice
It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a
Republican. Why? It was the Democrats who Dr. King was fighting,
and he would not have joined the Democratic Party, the party of
segregation and the Ku Klux Klan. To understand why MLK was a
Republican, let’s take a walk through history.
~~~
History of civil rights - In a nutshell
● The Republican Party - From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the
Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks.
● The Democratic Party - As author Michael Scheuer stated, the Democrat Party is the party
of the four S's: slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism.
Slavery – Democrats fought to expand it, Republicans fought to
ban it
Democrats formed the Confederacy, seceded from the Union and fought a Civil War
(1861 to 1865)– a war where over 600,000 citizens were killed, including many
thousands of blacks – in order to keep blacks in slavery because the Democrats had
built their economic base on the backs of black slaves.
Democrats enacted Fugitive Slave laws to keep blacks from escaping from plantations
and instigated the 1856 Dred Scott decision which legally classified blacks as
property. Democrats pushed to pass the Missouri Compromise to spread slavery into 50% of the new states.
Democrats also pushed to achieve passage of the Kansas-Nebraska Act that was designed to spread slavery into all
of the new states.
Northern anti-Civil War Democrats, called “copperheads”, did not want to be drafted to fight in the Civil War.
Starting in 1861, they attacked blacks in virtually every Northern city and pushed for a negotiated peace that
would have resulted in an independent Confederacy where blacks were kept in slavery. In New York, anti-Civil
War Democrats engaged in “Four Days of Terror” against the city’s black population from July 13-16,
1863.
Bush Republicans are antidemocratic with an attraction to authoritarianism.
Liberals are always trying to enfranchise citizens and Bush Republicans always try to block some citizens from voting.( BLACKS & LATINOS )!
Liberals defend the Constitution and long standing institutions like Social Security and Medicare.
Bush Republicans want the USA to go back to the Gilded Age and privatize Social Security and undo “The New Deal”!
Most if not all Bush Republican supporters are not conservatives. They are Neo-Cons who are apologist for the wealthiest top 1% percentile.
They have been thoroughly bamboozled for the last 30 years of rightwing propaganda and corrupt corporate mainstream media filter, which they believe is liberal!
"OutFoxed": How Rupert Murdoch Is Destroying American Journalism
A review of Robert Greenwald's new documentary investigating the Fox News Channel./ July 10, 2004 / http://tinyurl.com/5wwwr
As "Fahrenheit 9/11," Michael Moore's powerful indictment of the Bush Administration, is influencing millions of Americans in the heartland, "Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism," a devastating new documentary that exposes Bush's biggest cheerleader opens this week in New York and San Francisco and will be featured in thousands of house parties across the country, sponsored by MoveOn.org on Sunday, July 18th.
"Outfoxed" demonstrates in painful detail how one media empire, making full use of the public airwaves, can reject any semblance of fairness or perspective, and serve as the mouthpiece of right-wing conservatives, fully relishing its role. Media critic Jeffrey Chester describes the Fox News operation most succinctly in the film: "Fox News Channel is a 24/7 commercial for the conservatives and the Republican Party."
I doubt it. Everything Nobama touches turns to crap. All his promises are lies. As of today, the jobless rate is at an all time high. Highest it's been since 1983. He can't even provide jobs. Better pull your head out you ditzy idiot.
Thanks for your brevity.
Gee, if the previous administration was such a winning number, then why was it soundly trounced at the polls?
"All" his promises are lies? All? "Uh...well, you know what I mean, bitch!" Yeah, OK; apology for the use of your hyperbole accepted.
Yep, jobless rate is way up there. Think Bush had anything to do with it? Or were things just peachy under him and then when Obama got elected, wham! Is your view of life really that simple and uncomplicated?
He's trying to provide jobs by energizing the economy--of which I'm critical because our economy is based on consumerism (buying stuff, little boy)--but the republicans are an obstacle because they are more concerned with seeing that he fails than caring about our country.
