Why? What good does it do to probe?
It's called free enterprise.
The petroleum companies can charge $20 a gallon for their gas if they so desire.
Are they gouging? Hell yes! But in free enterprise gouging is perfectly acceptable.

You go somewhere where people are dying of thirst and sell them dirty water for five bucks a gallon.
That's free enterprise at it's finest.

The Amateur

Bill Clinton thought so little of President Obama — mocking him as an “amateur”— that he pressed his wife last summer to quit her job as secretary of state and challenge him in the primaries, a new book claims,

“The country needs you!” the former president told Hillary Clinton, urging her to run this year, according to accounts of the conversation included in Edward Klein’s new biography of Obama.

The title of Klein’s explosive, unauthorized bio of Obama,“The Amateur”(Regnery Publishing), was taken directly from Bill Clinton’s bombshell criticism of the president, the author said.
RUN, BABY, RUN! A new book says Bill Clinton implored wife Hillary last summer to challenge President Obama.

“Barack Obama,” Bill Clinton said, according to book excerpts,“is an amateur.”

Steven Chu's Europe gas quote haunts President Obama

By BOB KING
2/21/12

Can Steven Chu have a do-over?

President Barack Obama’s Energy secretary unwittingly created a durable talking point in September 2008 when he talked to The Wall Street Journal about the benefits of having gasoline prices rise over 15 years to encourage energy efficiency.

“Somehow,” Chu said,“we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”

Probe Obama

Obama’s “outrageously anti-American” energy policy is aimed at increasing the price at the pump.

“Chu, his Energy secretary, said in 2008 he wanted gasoline prices to get to the European level, which is $9 or $10 a gallon.”

Similar themes came last week from Investors Business Daily, which cited Chu’s remarks as evidence that Obama is “secretly cheering” for price spikes, and from Denver Post columnist Vincent Carroll, who accused Obama and Chu of pursuing a “castor oil theory” of economic growth.

No problem. West Coast families are content to suffer and be less prosperous, less hopeful than other Americans. Progressives took over the Democratic Party in all three States.

The main goal of those who self identify as Progressives is to leave a extinction grade Hot Mess of Debt, Deficits, and massive public pension tax slavery as their legacy to their children and grand children.
