Locke: Oregon a better deal than Seattle for NOAA ships
Moving NOAA's Pacific research ships - a longtime fixture of Seattle's maritime culture - to Oregon was simply a better deal for federal taxpayers, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said Wednesday.

Politics and Payback... Dems screwed yourselves... Washington never even got into the game... This is sad... Repubs could not do better I am sure...need a party of the people without the buying of votes... fantasy - maybe but I can hope... The current elected officals both demos and repubs are just plain for themselves and re-election... damn the public... Unemployment is going to go up in Washington State more than you realize in the coming years. Sad I do not think Bellingham had a chance... Talk about people out of the loop... Port Officials need to take a class in earmarks... How to get them - how to keep them...
