Electing an American President who has no natural emotional attachment or feelings for America was a HUGE mistake.

Why, is it because Julian Castro needs future voters? What other lawbreakers will we give free passes to next? This is pandering at its worst.

As long as the demands of a small group of Hispanic racists for amnesty for illegal aliens is allowed to block true immigration reform millions of honest people who want to immigrate as well as all Americans will suffer. The American people will not stand for amnesty being granted to millions of undeserving anti-American criminals just because they cry racism every time they are not allowed to ignore the laws and rights of American citizens. Being an illegal alien does not mean you can do anything illegal in this country that you want to.

I think you have it a little backwards. Obama ran against McCain in 2008.
McCain was born in Panama and Obama of course was born in the same country as you were.

Well put. Immigration reform may be needed, but that does not mean amnesty for those who chose to cut in line.
By the way, reform *could* mean demonstrated skill/need, literacy testing, physical and mental health screening, financial solvency and a host of other controls intended to ensure that one is coming here for the right reasons and is actually going to add value. Reform doesn't necessarily mean "Throw the doors open".

President Ronald Reagan granted immigration amnesty to about 4 million illegal immigrants in the 1980s, and the United States Congress has offered immigration amnesty to specific groups of illegal immigrants on several occasions.
The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), Pub.L. 99-603, 100 Stat. 3359, enacted November 6, 1986, also Simpson-Mazzoli Act, is an Act of Congress which reformed United States immigration law.
In brief the act:
. required employers to attest to their employees' immigration status.
. made it illegal to knowingly hire or recruit unauthorized immigrants.
. granted amnesty to certain seasonal agricultural illegal immigrants.
. granted amnesty to illegal immigrants who entered the United States before January 1, 1982 and had resided there continuously.

It's already happened, and will happen again. Too bad, the real problem, isn't even defined much less solved. It is 'characteristic' of the Americian elites.

Attract More Highly Skilled Immigrants:
To ensure that America continues to lead the world in innovation and economic dynamism, a Romney administration would press for an immigration policy designed to maximize America’s economic potential. Foreign-born residents with advanced degrees start companies, create jobs, and drive innovation at a high rate. While lawful immigrants comprise about 8 percent of the population, immigrants start 16 percent of our top-performing, high-technology companies, hold the position of CEO or lead engineer in 25 percent of high-tech firms, and produce over 25 percent of all patent applications filed from the United States.
The United States is projected to face a shortage of 230,000 science and technology workers by 2018. At the same time, we have set the caps on high-skill visas so low that, for some countries, an entire year’s quota has been filled in an hour. Mitt Romney will ask Congress to raise the caps on visas for highly skilled immigrants.
Many country caps—or limits on immigrants from specific countries—are so low, that America is losing some of the best and brightest to our international competitors. Mitt Romney will work with Congress to raise the country caps.
Every foreign student who obtains an advanced degree in math, science, or engineering at a U.S. university should be granted permanent residency.
Make The Temporary Worker Visa System Functional:
As president, Mitt Romney will make the system for bringing in temporary agricultural workers and other seasonal workers functional for both employers and immigrants. We should get rid of unnecessary requirements that delay issuance of a visa, and we should speed the processing of applications.
Mitt Remney's immigration plan.(summary = make it legal)
Mitt Romney will work with Congress, states, and employers to properly set the cap on non-agricultural temporary worker visas. Many tourist-oriented businesses in the United States rely on these workers and would have to cut back or cease operations if there are not enough visas.
Secure Our Borders & Discourage Illegal Immigration
Mitt Romney will protect legal immigration and the 4.5 million who are waiting in line to enter the United States legally by taking a strong stand against illegal immigration. He believes that illegal immigration must end and has a proven track record of advancing that goal.

Why is it that those who are most concerned that our immigration system is broken are also the most determined not to allow it to be reformed/overhauled?
#20 Sep 6, 2012
We have all the goddamn beaners we can handle. We need to drastically thin out the ones that are here now and we damn sure do not need anymore. WHAT PART OF ILLEGAL DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND BEANERS!!!
#21 Sep 6, 2012
Are you prepared to work the fields yourself picking beans at minimum wage? Or would you rather sit at home and collect welfare?
#22 Sep 6, 2012
The only illegals that do this are the ones waiting in line for construction and other jobs stolen from those waiting for them. Do you really think they stay in the fields you a-hole? They don't. Juan is your perfect example of a wage under cutting beaner. California with the largest population of illegal fukin trespassers in the country can not find people to work their fields. Whats up with that azzhole? Fields are entry level illegal jobs. ENTRY LEVEL!!! Then they come after our honest wage jobs. STFU
