Does anyone think members of congress are going to vote themselves out of a job? This would involve a constitutional amendment and would go against the original intention of the founding fathers. No one in congress would have any long term experience, a bad idea.

Mr. Thibideaux, How do you explaing George Washington's decision to 'step away' from the presidency, rather than to have kept running? He was indeed popular enough to have run for a 3rd term, but chose to step down. To address long-term experience would require some planning so not all vacate at once - that would be a bad idea. Rather, stagger it. I do not want a "Ted Kennedy" situation again; that long of a term is a "bad idea." He kept running and winning on his immense popularity. He should have stepped away as well.
