The dems are trying to steal this election from Miller and Sarah will try to stop them.

Murkowski is no longer a Rep she was fired but refuses to leave. She is a RINO and we will not tolerate that.

A RINO is as disgusting as a dem .

Actually, Miller's chances are growing dimmer each day. I read an article in the NY Times that said 3 of the 7 lawyers Miller hired are leaving the state. The only person to blame for Miller's defeat is Miller himself. He shot himself in the foot with his bizarre statements about the Iron Curtain, his having a reporter handcuffed for daring to question, and his record of ethical lapses. These are on top of saying he would discontinue the federal money Alaska currently receives as well as eliminating Social Security. It has come to light that he has enjoyed some of the government "entitlements" he thinks no one else should have.

In any event, this is also a referendum on the woman who endorsed him in the first place. While all the above about Miller is bad enough, he is also a sore loser like his chief endorser, Palin. I'm quite sure that his antics in the last few days will make him unelectable for any position in Alaska in the future. In addition, he will always be seen as one of Sarah Palin's unpalatable legacies on top of being looked at as a quitter by Alaskans.

I like how you unfailingly reply to my posts. Whether I like her or not is beside the point. The issue is that she endorsed an imminently unqualified candidate in her own state. The animosity between her and Murkowski is long-standing and well-known. In her bid to unseat Murkowski, she picked a spectularly bad candidate. Unfortunately for Palin, Murkowski is the one who ends up with the last laugh, and Miller in all his buffoonery and unelectability will be forever linked to Palin.

The idea that anyone would hate Palin because of her looks is one of the dumbest and most emotionally immature ideas anyone could come up with. With all the beautiful women the world over, Palin is not exceptional in that respect. Furthermore, as a resident of Alaska, I would think you would be concerned that she has endorsed a candidate who thinks social security, Medicare, the federal minimum wage, and unemployment benefits are "unconstitutional," in spite of his own record of using some of what he calls "entitlements." He also wanted to discontinue the federal payments Alaska currently receives. Does none of that concern you enough to get your head out of the sand and really take a good look at this endorsee of hers? Her looks are completely irrelevant, but his fate is a measure of her clout in Alaska, and it looks like he is going to undergo a well-earned defeat.

Wrong, as usual. We all depend in varying degrees upon the systems we find ourselves living in. We ARE all interconnected, whether some of us admit it or not. While personal responsibility is an absolute MUST for an individual to make a good life, none of us are islands.

ACORN is completely irrelevant, because only a small percentage of voters were registered by that organization. In addition, it has already been destroyed by Republicans bent on suppressing voting that doesn't support them. In this, they were enabled by Democrats who didn't take the time to research carefully before supporting the Party of No in such a drastic measure.

As for your patronizing and ignorant statements about the Alaskan "natives," my guess is that most Alaskans see Joe Miller exactly for what he is--a loser who deserves the defeat that seems certain to come his way. Since he cannot accept losing graciously, he has introduced the red herring that voter fraud is responsible for the position he finds himself in. The fact is that it was his own doing.

Wow. For a minute there, I honestly thought "Smokin Joe" was just imitating the teapartywackos (yes, one word). Apparently not. But I'd sure love to have whatever he & "luv palin" are smoking. I wouldn't mind an escape from reality right about now.

Anne, you make way too much sense for these people. You deal in facts; they deal in whatever they heard on hate radio or saw on fox fraudcasting. Don't waste your time :)

I like your way with words, making "teapartywackos" and
"fraudcasting" into single words. You are so right about those two, because nothing they've said makes sense. By the way, I want to congratulate the good people of Nevada for rejecting another Palin-endorsed wackjob, namely Sharron Angle. You dodged a Grisly Mama bullet, while it looks like Alaska is getting ready to dodge a hairy bullet. I'm happy for you.

Too bad for Miller, then. In fact, I understand that there were Alaskans who were so perturbed by that fool Miller that they ASKED Murkowski to run. Actually, you should be thanking your lucky stars that she is winning, because he would have been disastrous for Alaska. What you need to do is to stop getting stuck on rigid ideology, and truly look at things as they are. It's no one's fault but Miller's that he's going down to defeat. He sabotaged his own campaign.

Disastrous for Alaska to freaks like you would mean not importing enough welfare recipients, illegals and gays into Alaska.
