Washington, D.C. Thurs, Feb. 7, 2013 - CRIM FOR U.S. SENATE RECALLS PURPOSE OF SOCIAL SECURITY IN FIGHT TO SAVE IT. News Source: The Nashvillian (c) Feb. 7, 2013 LAMAR ALEXANDER: A CAREER POLITICIAN WITH RESOUNDING RETIREMENT BENEFITS SEEKS TO SLASH RETIREMENT FUNDS

Based on records available at the U.S. Senate Office of Public Records, Larry Crim of Nashville, Tennessee has officially filed the Federal Election Commission (FEC) Statement of Candidacy as Democratic Candidate for U.S. Senate from Tennessee for 2014.
In Mr. Crim's follow up Statement of Organization form he lists his campaign website as " LarryCrimUSSenate.com " in which Crim has proposed a National Bill captioned The Social Security Protection Act (SSPA) to prevent social security trust funds of the American people from being utilized to balance the budget.

If Crim is elected as the Democratic Nominee for U.S. Senate in 2014 he will likely face Lamar Alexander (R) U.S. Senate (TN), who has spent nearly a half century receiving federal and state funds to support what quite arguably is one of the most glaring examples of a "career politician" lifestyle in America. Alexander's been nearly 50 years on the public dole.

A key issue between the two (2) candidates is Social Security where the two Tennesseans are exact opposites.

Mr. Alexander wants nearly $1 trillion cut out of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits to which citizen contributors are due from their payments into social insurance programs of the national government. Alexander, a GOP lawmaker, said the federal debt ceiling provides an impetus and "opportunity" to reduce Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits to Americans.

Larry Crim (D) U.S. Senate 2014 has said: "Social Security funds were not meant to be used as an additional source of revenue for the government, but as a foundation for our citizen's retirement."
Crim has proposed the Social Security Protection Act (SSPA) to insure that such funds are not employed to balance the budget.

Larry Crim, the Democratic Candidate for United States Senate from Tennessee, is a fifth generation Tennessean, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Sciences - Major Psychology, Minor Political Science - from The University of Tennessee; a Master of Public Administration from The University of Tennessee and Tennessee State University; Master of Arts (M.A.) Major Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. Larry Crim performed his Practicum in Psychology at Vanderbilt InterUniversity Psychological and Counseling Center. Mr. Crim is Executive Chair of Christian Counseling Centers of America, Inc., a faith based initiative delivering affordable counseling and free disaster relief intervention through churches. Crim is Chairman of Democrats United for Tennessee, a grass roots outreach organization "seeking to make a connection by going in a Tennessee direction" according to their Facebook Web Page. Larry Crim Chairs Democrats for Equal Educational Opportunity dedicated to assuring a quality education for all Americans. The theme of the Crim for U.S. Senate campaign as indicated on their web site is "For ALL Tennesseans".
