On March 21, several courageous United States senators - led by Lamar Alexander , R-Tenn., Rand Paul , R-Ky., Marco Rubio , R-Fla., and Mitch McConnell , R-Ky. - tried to do something logical yet bold that would have helped 11 million children from low-income families actually benefit from Title I funding.

Congress gets many things wrong, why should government management of education be any different?
The incompetence is from the top down. Not only do they promote game players they protect each others secrets.

This is a budgetary problem. Schools can barely afford to bus students locally. Can you imagine if parents want to send their kid to schools and hour away? Guess who gets to foot that gas bill? All of us.

Don't like your school, home school but don't expect me to pay for the gas to ship your spawn half way across the state because you think your kid is better or smarter than other kids.

Another attempt by the right wing to deliver all our money into the hands of a few rich. They really think we will buy their nonsense and forget about education for our children.

Another move by the frightwing teabaggers to privatize public education. This shit has it's roots with Jebster Bush and his left behind brother.

Our unionized public schools are not educating our students. They are being graduated barely able to get minimum wage jobs, and mostly are dependent on the Government for their life styles. We have to make a good education available for all, not just a select few. Charter Schools are working.
