Reading this article, one has to face the fact that the solution of our government to our unemployment problem is to spend more money. But only temporarily. Temporary tax breaks, temporary tax incentives, temporary infrastructure spending, extending unemployment benefits. These measures will not help unemployment since the main threat to employment is the threat of unknown costs associated with the vast healthcare proposals, coupled with the added threat of additional costs to business of the Cap and Trade proposals. These threatened costs are huge, but the totality of them remains unknown. Add to that the expiration of the Bush tax cuts, and one has a recipe for disaster in small business, and certainly a big threat to the bottom line of large businesses. No executive, manager, or owner is going to risk doing any serious hiring with these threats looming, with unknown consequences in the distance.

Look, I see two opposing systems. Our current system of globalization and free trade is an each for themselves, dog y dog, unmanaged and uncontrolled whirlwind, which has got us to our current condition. Another way is a more managed one with a national purpose and direction. But my personal feeling is this other way would necessitate border enforcement and some kind of controls on reproduction. But, it would allow for universal health care, a good quality education, and a science driven economy that could provide for a civilized and human lifestyle.

What was the stimulus for again? Obama is a joke. A very unfunny joke, but still a joke. God please help us. The crack head in chief must go!
