Unfortunately we have to live politics by bits and pieces. That is the two party system. Your education slander makes me want to consider to vote for an Adolph...and that would happen when I can't take it anymore. Just watching you ph ucks beg for your lives would be a Kodak moment. Just joking. We all mess with each other...I did not make America what it became. It needs to reverse what it has become in a systematic manner. Then you can have the Ben Franklin statement shoved up your azz. The camps will open...Oh they will...fool..<quoted text>
Well, you are well educated. Your subjects and predicates are always in agreement.
What happened is that we were put, as a nation, on the road to oligarchy. It was not populists, socialists, progrssives, liberals, or middle-of-the-roaders who did that.
It is the extreme right, who now seem to have taken over the GOP, much as the Taliban have taken over Pakistan.
This extreme right uses its captive media to manipulate the emotions of the ignorant, and blame our problems on "liberals" (which means anyone who does not agree with their takeover.)
In fact, the media is owned and controlled by the very people who are protesting that the wealthy are paying too much in taxes,(when they are actually paying a pittance.)
The whole "Grover Norquest" pledge is an attack on the USA. Why shouldn't everyone help dig us out of our economic hole...and believe me, the same people who want to avoid paying their fair share of taxes are the only ones who made hay while Bush tanked our economy.)
If you examine the whole Federal tax structure, you see it is a machine to transfer walth from the working people of the north and east to the wealthy in the south and west. It makes the "red states" into wholesale welfare recipiants.
Were I president, I would make it policy (as Ben Franklin advocated) that no state gets back more from the Federal government than the share it puts in.
Both Republican congressional negotiators withdrew from today's deficit-cutting talks with Vice President Joe Biden, with one of them, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, citing an "impasse" over tax increases.
