McCain destroyed the GOP by introducing the nation to Sarah Palin. Palin beget Bachmann. And the Bachmann beget Cruz. And Cruz beget the shutdown.

I question the intellectual fortitude of Mr. McCain.

Remember, she was far superior to Obama in experience and government know how.
You are correct - stupidity and the dumbing down of America does scare.

Pfft. LOL. She thanks YOU for the millions she's made. Go throw more money at her chump.

that certainly was a mistake of his, but the GOP was headed that way without his help. in fact, that is one of the reasons he picked her.

but both her and Bachmann are gone, those idiots do not last long, even with the far right evangelical idiots...they have small brains and short attention spans...like little sheep...

In a normal world where 20% of the population that are progressives did not have the power that is way more the the percentages,he would be acceptable as a Republican or perhaps a conservative Democrat.

McCain spoke up - unlike most of his dumb republicant cohorts - and corrected misinformation to some ignorant woman about President Obama.

Not sure if that would be considered "intellectual" but was at least honest.

If he runs for the office of Senator again at 6 year terms that will make his presents in Washington in that office at 36 years. Good God.... why does the electorate continue to re-elect these people and turn these individuals into institutions. They are the problem not the solution to America's overwhelming problems. They become to beholding to the corrupting influences of big money until ordinary citizens become redundant and disaffected from their own governing institutions. One term and one term only without the perks and trappings of Office. No pensions. No life time life and health insurance. Simply put.... make it what it is suppose to be Duty to the Country and true Public Service without reward other then doing what is right for The Nation!

McCain needs to run to the border and pass out water bottles to the illegals whom he seems to like more than the tax-paying U.S. Citizen that he "represents" (poorly).

I still believe he did not want to be the POTUS, cause no one could screw up an election as bad as he did without doing it on purpose.
