Perhaps you heard about it? More than 100% of the growth of the nation in the past 30 years went to a few rich people, those who work, got less and less and a lower standard of living. Perhaps you have relatives who aren't doing as well as before Reagan. Perhaps you have neighbors who can't even pay their mortgage payments and have gone into foreclosure. Perhaps you used to have friends who used to have jobs but don't anymore. Perhaps you have driven past areas that used to be centers of manufacturing which now have sign after sign that says: "For Lease." Perhaps you heard about cities who have lost so much of their tax base that some are even filing for bankruptcy.
Take a look at the demographic data how how many people are working. The latest from the labor dept might say unemployment is like 7 something percent, but look further. Look at how many people should be available for work, and how many are actually working. That will put the number near 40%. The GOP is fond of saying that 47% of the people cannot find jobs that pay enough to buy food, shelter and pay taxes. If you make less than that, you don't really have a job. I could go on, but I hope you are getting the point.
Actually you havent a CLUE what happened to these Jobs, This all started in 2000 on the Southwest lawn at the white house when Clinton Signed the “Free Trade Act

According to the Gov website that has tracked U.S. Factories since the 40s you can see a direct almost straight down line on the BLS chart. From 2000 to 2009 the U.S. lost over 42,400 factories in those 9 years, In 2010 the U.S had Less factories then before the bombing of pearl harbor. 6.5 million factory jobs were lost and for every job lost 15 other are affected that 95 million jobs at play and or lost

Clinton Historically Lowered the U.S. import Tax. He opened up the FLOOD GATES for that Chinas billion that now can sell cheaper to the U.S. because the Previous Import tax EQUALED the labor differences.

Clinton also caused the Sub-prime Loans and the Housing collapse. Many of those loans were based on factory jobs and other jobs supported by the factory worker spending power.

By the way the U.S. for the 1st time in its history had a Technology Revolution. From 1990 to 2000. Clinton had not a dam thing to do with the U.S propensity during that era., Then he turned around and not only killed the U.S. jobs he Globally changed the Power structure.

It started in 2000??? Then why did the economy go so badly for the middle class starting in 1980? You are 20 years off your game.

I am not defending Clinton; but you need to look at cause and effect a bit closer. There has been improving technology since the dawn of time. It is one of the things mankind has been doing all these years. Clinton did make improvements to the economy, but he was also pushed into some very bad agreements, like the free trade agreements you mentioned, which were pushed by the very same republicans you support. That is one of the reasons Obama should not be negotiating with republicans. You can't make bargains with the devil and expect to come out ahead. There has been so much give to the GOP it is not surprising the economy is so bad. You want to blame the democrats and they indeed share some of the blame, but your attacks are nonsense.
